    BOSS 429 RULES ON SPEED

    Speed just aired tonight the "Muscle Car Shoot Out." Boss 429, LS6 Chevelle, Hemi Cuda, Judge, Hurst Olds, Buick GS, AMX. Really kind of neat seeing all these car on one show in as close a comparison as could be done. Brings back fond memories of hot summer nights, fast women & Sunoco 260.

    That's good to hear. I would strongly recommend anyone doing serious track days to get a set of Goodyear or Hoosier DOT road racing slicks. Any street tire will just get destroyed.

    2005 Mustang Test Mule Pictures

    I wonder if that mule was sold as a race car chassis with no VIN #. Ford use to sell a small portion of their test fleet to racers. I assume they still do. My SCCA AS car was a test mule. The SCCA stickers & a Dodge product towing the Stang make me suspect this.

    Just saw my dealer today & he showed me his latest report on ordered cars. My car went from a "Temporary Hold" to a tentative production date of 9/13/04. He said with some luck it should be in late September. Watch out tri-state NY for Pony Express #2 :)

    Mustang in Redfire with Red leather

    Ordered my in Torch Red with the Red Leather. I have a 99' GT in the Laser Red. On cloudy days it looks almost burgundy, I wanted something a little brighter & closer to the interior red.

    Temporary Delay?

    Just got back from vaca hoping to have a delivery date & my dealer said my car has a "temporary delay" status. I now have a vin # but still no pricing. Anyone else getting the same delay message from their dealer? Thanks

    Is IRS a dealbreaker?

    I think your going to find with the stiffer chassis, better weight distribution & the 3 link rear that the car will handle quite well. A well designed 3 link is a great setup for a live axle.

    auto or manual fastest?

    I just bought my wife a Jag "S" type with the 300HP V8 & 6 speed auto. (Similar chassis to the new 05' Pony) I got to tell you it is the best automatic I have ever driven. Car comes out hard, pulls strong, nice shifts, smooth as silk & will automatically downshift in the twisties & hilly roads...

    Ford starting to make orders?

    In the past you where able to buy the test mules. They where sold minus the drivetrain & of course no VIN number. My SCCA AS racer was built from one. Anyone looking to race the 05' should contact Ford Racing & see if they still offer this program.

    isnt 1st year of new model a wait & see??

    I solicit 4000 collision repair shops for my business. When I got my 99' GT they were all over it. It was one of the first & I didn't see many 99's till about a year after production. Wait till I pull in with the 05'. Its kinda nice to have something different for a while.
