    Yes, 4.030 would be a 306, but what they're saying is they have kits available from 4.000" bores to 4.060" bores, you would just have to specify what your bore is when ordering.

    I would try another starter solenoid because you might have gotten a bad one, it happened to me before. Also are you sure to got the wires right on it.

    I just fixed a similar problem today for a friend it was the injectors. That was the 2nd car around here to have bad injectors in less than a month, I think its something with the gas.

    The yellow is a deep cycle battery if I remember right. I bought the red top for my daily driver and its given me no problems and I've had it over a year.

    I don't think you'd get that much water in if you put them towards the back. Honestly though, I wouldn't cut them, you won't really see a gain from it trust me and all your doing is giving yourself something to worry about. If you do cut them though I still think you'd be alright.

    Try to get a cutoff wheel in between flanges and cut it off.     I've always used the Ford Racing gears and I have no complaint about them. As far as where to get them, try Summit, they are usually pretty cheap and if by chance they are cheaper somewhere else Summit will match the price.
