Short Shifters - Difference In Height Vs. Stock

Thanks Josh - yeah I'd probably be safe if I selected 2", maybe 2.5"...but it sure would be nice to know exactly how much shorter it is. I just can't believe Pro 5.0 said, "Im (sic) not sure"...unbelievable.

Short Shifters - Difference In Height Vs. Stock

My email to Pro 5.0: "Hi - I own a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1, with a Tremec TR-3650 transmission, and a Pro-5.0 shifter and shift handle. I am purchasing a RedLine Accessories (http://www.redlinegoods.com/shiftboot.php) shift boot. They offer resizing to better fit aftermarket shifters - with...

    Redlinegoods Shift Boots And Such

Oh Yeah - I just saw their SW cover - sweet. I'd have it professionally installed however - otherwise it would turn out like my first window tint job - a f'ing mess. :p

    Redlinegoods Shift Boots And Such

Kornnut, I just posted a thread asking a question about the option of resizing the height of the shifter boot (one of the options RedLine offers (see their order form)). You might want to follow this as well and please pipe in if you have any input.

Short Shifters - Difference In Height Vs. Stock

I'm looking at purchasing a RedLine custom Shift Boot and one of the options they offer is a custom height. On the Order Form they ask: "Shift Boot Resize (Add $9)" - with options ranging from 1" shorter to 4" shorter, with several incremental choices in between (1.2", 1.5", 1.8", 2.0", 2.2"...

    Clutch Making A Whoosing Sound

It'll definitely be a MM cable for me...just not sure if I'll need a new clutch, and, if so, which one to get. Leaning toward the Centerforce DF - haven't heard one bad thing about them. And it sounds like I should toss the Centerforce TOB and go with an FRPP TOB, correct? Unfortunately the EB...

    Clutch Making A Whoosing Sound

Hey Josh, what's up man? We had a Steeda cable in my wife's 01 GT that didn't last 2 years. When I swapped it out, it was nearly severed and completely rusted inside. So much for Steeda quality...I do like their stuff, but that cable was junk. Hey, do you want a STB? I think it's Steeda, and...

    Clutch Making A Whoosing Sound

As I shop now for a new clutch kit I have a question - the OEM setup - it's 10 spline, correct?

    Clutch Making A Whoosing Sound

It was an OEM replacement TOB, clutch, PP. That's pretty crappy to only last 16K miles. I now wonder what the clutch looks like..? If I have to replace, I'm going with a good brand name replacement and spend a few bucks so we don't go down this road again anytime soon. Centerforce, ACT...

    Clutch Making A Whoosing Sound

This is in my Mach 1. Clutch is about 2.5 years old, about 16K miles on it (it doesn't get driven too much). Essentially, when depressing or releasing the clutch a whoosing sound is made. Don't really know how else to describe it. It's not your typical TOB noise - I know that sound very...

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

I pulled the boot between the door and the jamb (as much as I could) and didn't see anything wrong, but I guess I'll have to dig deeper. I can only hope that it's in the door and not under the dash! (Spaghetti warehouse!)

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

I bought both a new switch and the one touch module.

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

I bought a one touch for the pass side window. I realize the driver's side does already have one, but the pass side does not. I don't think it's a switch problem. I bought a brand new one, thinking this was the issue, quickly swapped it, and the problem remained. I then 'switched' the pass...

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

I finally decided to try to take a look at this again today. I was able to slide the boot back from the body a little bit, revealing a small hole in the boot, but the rest of it was attached the the wiring harness (big group of wires). Through the hole I didn't see anything wrong. I wasn't...

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

Hey I think you are on to something here...this might be easier than trying to chase down a single wire in behind the dash.

Pass Side Window Doesn't Work From The Driver's Side

I just don't even know where to begin. Maybe pulling the boot that holds the wiring between the door and the body, and if I'm extremely lucky I'd find a wire break there... I mean seriously, this could be a nightmare. Then yesterday, I ended up parking my car in the street, in the blazing sun...
