Carb Runs Rich Until I Pull Of The Vacum Line!!

A couple things to check.. Idle vac, what is it? What power valve? If the the idle vac is low, then the power valve might be opening. Are you checking float level with the car running? Can you kill the engine with the idle mix screws?

18.7 sec. 2220m (mexico city) is bad time?

What was the air temp and hunidity when you ran? If it was hot, I wouldn't be suprised if the denisty altitude was 8000-9000ft... 2438m-2743m. Did they give you more than just 1/4 ET and MPH?

    86 heads on a 68 block

It's not just a bolt on, you're going from stud mount to pedestal mount rockers. Not sure what pushrods will be the right length, you'll probably need to measure. You'll have to plug the air pump holes in the heads too. You might lose HP, depending on whats done to the car and what heads you...

Disappointment at the dyno: 227 rwhp with afr165's and custom cam

64/66 jetting is way to close together, it's usually 8-10 sizes between primary and secondary side. Why are you running acetone with the 93?

Disappointment at the dyno: 227 rwhp with afr165's and custom cam

Your timing is killing HP.. I run 17* on my carbed car with the stock cam and 1.7's... I can run it on 89 octane when it's cool, but it needs 91 in the summer. I have the same combo, but with the stock cam. Mine makes HP to 6000rpm. Port match the intake or switch to a stealth...

New holley but bad initial hesitation

I just changed the cam.. I had the advantage of messing with it on a dyno to see if it was going lean or not.. What color cam do you have now? And have you adjusted the lever on the pump at all?
  17. Dark Knight

is this enough for 275 hp.

I'd get rid of the torker2 and get a stealth..

    Going to the dyno tomorrow

Ever go to www.460ford.com ? Even with 300HP, you should get 400ft/lbs of torque..

New holley but bad initial hesitation

http://www.holley.com/data/TechService/Technical/Carb%20Numerical%20Listing.pdf You'll need the full model number. I'd change pump cams before messing with the squirter size. I went to the black cam too.

    Rocker arm stud broke. Causes?

A couple things, check the retainer to valve guide clearance, could have a guide thats slightly taller and getting hit. Rocker arm to stud clearance too. Make sure the trunion is facing the right way when you put the nut on also.
