    carb problems?

    Jetting is backwards for one, larger jets are usually on the secondaries. Again, what fuel pump? Carb doesnt know what engine is underneath it. Also, do you get alot of front end lift? Might need jet extensions. I'd swap the primary and secondary jetting and put a power valve back in.

    When it starts to miss, shut it off and then check the carb bowls. What fuel pump? Might be an ignition problem too.

    Could be the ignition module or the ignition switch in the column. Carb's 5spd car? Most parts places can test the module, it's on the drivers side of the engine compartment, silver square box that hooks into the distributor.

    And make sure the trunion, the roller in the center, has the flat surface facing up. Or recess for the poly lock.

    If you cant make 300 to the wheels with that combo, something is wrong. With the MSD, you're going to want to run the alternator.

    Something isnt right. Can you post a pic? AFAIK, the valve locations arent moved, and I've never heard of anyone with that problem either. Are all the rockers off? Make sure you didnt bend the pushrods? BTW, it sounds like you talked to a salesman and not a tech guy :-)

    Might try a start timing retard if you're running alot of compression and have an MSD setup. A bigger cable from the battery if it's in the trunk/hatch will help too.

    They shoould clear, but you can turn it over by hand to check. If they do touch, just double up the gasket. I THINK AFR raised the valve cover rail for more clearance.. cant remember off hand

    Why would you put the others in? It doesnt change compression and it's less of a drain on the battery if all are out.

    The PV will help overall. If it's running out of fuel, click it off and check the bowls. Have you had the bowls off? Might pull the primary one off and make sure something isnt floating around in it. I've seen a small piece of gasket block a jet and have the same thing happen.

    Change the power valve to an 8.0 or 8.5. 12-1 AF is rich, not lean. Are you watching fuel pressure at cruise too? That cam is pretty small for a 351, you shouldnt have to mess with the air bleeds. What altitude are you at? If you run it at that rpm in neutral does it do the same thing?
