    Go with what they recomend, felpro 1018 or 1028. Unless you're spraying it. Or FRPP M-6051-A441, same thing from ford. 135# with 30wt oil

    The housing isnt the expensive part, it's the rest of the parts that add up. Case, posi unit, gears etc will set you back alot more. Places like moser sell bare 9in housings, all you need to do is weld on the spring perches. My 68 8in axles were the same diameter for the whole length, fwiw.

    How do you know it's running out of airflow? Did you hook a vac. guage to the intake during the pull?

    Where? Other than the original boss 302, all OE 302-351w ford blocks were 2-bolt. Have yet to see an aftermarket 4 bolt block break.

    The metal tubes that the rubber busings go in needs to be tack welded to the crossmember. Any muffler shop could do it for cheap or free.

    Might check the front ball joints. Had that happen with mine, same thing, felt like something hitting the floor board.

    FYI, a 4-point cage isnt NHRA legal to race in a vert. Need at least 5 points. Also, most racing harness' are Track legal but NOT DOT approved so you run the risk of getting a ticket.

    Aren't the explorer heads the GT-40p's? If so, your headers may not work. Spark plug angles are different.

    If you're going to bore it later, you're going to need new pistons again. Kind of a waste of money. Why dont you just get a 5.0 block instead of trying to retrofit the roller? They're cheap enough to get.
