    Weight of the mustang II

If you have a town dump, or tranfer staion, they usually have a truck weight scale to detremine the charge for commercial loads. Just pull the car up on it, and ask the guy watching the scale.

    Tranny Rebuild

My four speed is at the shop also. The guy told me that the internal gears were bad, and could not be located anywhere. I did a search myself and could not find any. I went and bought another four speed, a RAD-K, and he said the gears were okay in that one. Funny though, the rebuild kits...

    AOD installed!

Please post pictures as soon as you can. This I gotta see! I know just how much room there is when I added my Windsor, and some inner fenderwell mods were necessary, as well as some small header mods, and the oilpan mod etc...... But an AOD in there?

    Flywheels and flexplates

I just verified that the kit I got from summit, which was Zoom, is absolutley NOT the right kit. I ordered MU30-1. Holes do NOT line up, and it appears to be too large overall. I am calling Ram clutches, the have two kits listed. O.E.M. kit is part number 88501 Powergrip kit is 98501...

    351w swap in a 76 cobra ll?

The headers I used are old Blackjacks that came with the car. The oil pan I modified myself. I cut out the section that wouldn't clear the steering, and welded a section in that did.

    351w swap in a 76 cobra ll?

The 302 oil pan will not fit the 351w, so the oil pan for the 351w must be used and modified to clear the rack and pinoin steering.

    Flywheels and flexplates

I might just do that, the ring gear wasn't so great, but still usable. The previous owner had multiple starter problems, but didn't say what was the cause. Probably using the incorrect starter.

If you read the sticky at the beginning of the discussion page, you should find your answer, and some other alternatives. Usable tire width is determined by a lot of factors.

    New Pics!

Having worked with fiberglass before, (helicopters) I will tell you that removing too much material from that area will lead to cracking. Get a fiberglass repair kit from your local parts dealer, and build up the inside of the scoop "nose" for strength. I'm going that route even before i start...

    Flywheels and flexplates

I might do that in the future, but from what I've read, it involves some fabrication work.

Thanks, I just found the kit in the bottom of the box. When I opened the box from one end, and slid the scoop out, I never looked any further.

    Flywheels and flexplates

I am changing back to my 4 speed, the C-4 has seen better days. The 77 was originally a 4 speed, and I never took out the pedal, so it's not going to be hard to change back, or so I thought! The shop that I took my RAD-4 to says that they can get the seals, synchros, and bearings no problem...

    Vacuum resevoir replacement?

Since I added a performance camshaft i added a better vacuum canister from Crane Cams. The engine would want to stall on me every time I hit the brakes hard. I mounted it where the old resevior was in the fenderwell, and it's connected between the brake booster and the intake manifold vacuum...
