    solenoid vacuum valve broke, help

That is the canister purge solenoid. I tried to get a used one but it was hosed also. It purges gas fumes from the canister after starting your vehicle...it is good for the environment for it to work. You can plug the hose and leave it connected to the pcm (won't throw a code), then get a new...

Brke Booster Upgrade for Fox Brake Conversion

I went with the 93 Cobra booster because the bolt pattern and stud size are the same as the original fox. So less firewall mods are necessary. Check this out: http://www.geocities.com/dbennettya/Mustang_PCM/my_firewall.jpg http://www.geocities.com/dbennettya/Mustang_PCM/It_fits.jpg...

Need a suggestion on how to block off tstat to H20 pump bypass hose

Maybe try a rubber 5/8" cane tip or you can make something from a short piece of 5/8" hose and a piece of 5/8" barstock about 3/4" long and two hose clamps, probably safer than the cane tip. I used to blow out cane tips after about 2K miles with 9 psi of boost. They may even sell 5/8" hose...

Need a suggestion on how to block off tstat to H20 pump bypass hose

Put a thick rubber cap on it and secure it with a hose clamp. Get one with a 5/8" ID and don't use a plastic one. Good Luck, Don

Hatch leaking when rains!! help desperate plz! i need these look

I'm pretty sure those are just trim pieces to make the inside look finished. The actual seal is between the glass and the hatch on the outside. My trim piece shrunk in the corners and is about 6" short of joining up. I cut it and pushed it back in, no leaks here. Don

Fuel pressure setting with 24lb injectors.

Hi, My 90GT 306 liked 37psi, it gave perfect AFRs and ran great with the stock PCM. After Tweecer 39 psi was right. Good Luck, Don

    RIDING ROUGH(SUSPENSION??!!)

My 90 was riding like a buckboard, front struts made it ride smooth as silk. Labor was $300 plus the cost of the struts, I also had them put in new polyproplene spring seats. Good Luck, Don

    Fuel Pump Relay

You don't need to drain the fuel rails with the stock rails. Just release any pressure with the Schrader valve into a couple of paper towels...you won't get much fuel. Then when you disconnect the locking fittings catch the fuel in a couple of paper towels..again you won't get much fuel...

    ACT gauge???

Well, it can be done....not simple or easy....I can do it but won't waste the time. I use Tweecer RT and it allows datalogging of 16 parameters simutaneously and ACT is one of them. It also allows tuning for best performance, but 10,000 or more functions, scalars and tables can be a bitch to...

That would work except the gauge ECT sending unit is totally different than the ACT/ECT PCM sensors. Don

    ACT gauge???

The input impedance of the autometer gauge must be high impedance to work properly. Do you have a schematic or specs, what is it's transfer function it expects? Any info on the autometer sending unit? Sounds like it isn't compatible with the stock sending unit? Good Luck, Don

Help with buzzing relay !!! Electrical gurus come in!!!

soylentgreen, This is true but a properly sized motor starter relay can handle arcing. However in tuff cases a clamp diode or snubber is required across the load. This will reduce the peak voltage across the contacts. Sorry, I was distracted on my first post and ended up protecting the...

Help with buzzing relay !!! Electrical gurus come in!!!

Philstang, Ok, relays are inductors and store energy. You need to clamp the energy so it doesn't arc contacts. This can be done by putting a diode across the coil reverse biased so that it dissipates the coils charge when it is de-energized. It is also possible that the switch that...

    Getting Hot!

First off put a 180 or 195 Tstat in there, for heating problems a 160 does nothing to help. Some things to check before going with an e-fan: 1. How far is the fan from the radiator? If the fan is too close due to a thicker radiator it will reduce cooling capability. It should be no closer...
