    If we have two-piece driveshafts, does that mean we have four u-joints instead of two? Maybe that's the problem, twice as many u-joints means twice as much play.

    Found the perfect thing at Autozone. For $2.79 bought an assortment of little plastic-like plugs. Picked out two that just push in, sanded and painted the heads with my little bottle of touch up paint. Will push them in this evening, when the paint is fully dry on them. They have little fins...

    They were delivered yesterday, look really nice. Small bended ear at end of inlet side pipe from shipping damage but very minor and easily bent back. Will install this weekend. Fun!

    I have the same clunks on my new 08 with less than 2000 miles on it. It's play in the drivetrain somewhere (driveshaft I'd guess) which is surprising in a new car.

    That stuff on the back by the dealer seems to be an East coast and or maybe mid West issue. I don't see to many dealerships putting stuff on the paint (decals or whatever) here in Calif.

    Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if you can get to the back of the front bumper to put a nut on if I put a small carriage bolt,or something similiar, through the hole? (Without some major removal operation?) If so, that would allow me to put on a smaller dia cover.

    Lennyvb, thanks. I found them at the site you had listed and ordered them only to called within a couple of minutes and told they had a price increase from $356 to $475:eek:, so I cancelled. Damn these things are expensive. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll keep looking...

    Yes, they are the cheapest by far. However, I've read so many bad reports on Blue Oval Industries that I won't even take a chance on them. Just google their name and see what comes up.

    I noticed that also. Don't know. Of course there are always used or take offs from Shelby GTs, just not many of them avail. I've listened to so many exhaust clips I'm rummy. However, I think these are what I'm going after. Appreciate the input from you all, great forum!! :nice:
