    That scratch would be of concern to me also. I can't make out in the picture how deep it is, but if you run your fingernail across it and you can feel a ridge I would return them.

    It looks like the cam caps were overtightened. I'm not sure that it will cause significant issues as long as the score marks don't have a ridge to them. I can't really tell by the picture but is that brown mark a spot of rust?

    You need a special tool to do it. It's a slide hammer with two fingers on the end that go behind the bearing. I don't know if you can rent one somewhere but that's what is used.

    I ran a 12# kit had a quality tune from the "Procharger Guru" out of Jersey, and blew the hell out of my motor after 300 miles. It also leaked oil like a siv - fuggin piece of crap. :notnice:

    I just got off the phone with a JBA tech. He told me that the 2v mid length headers are 2-3 months out Not CARB certified. Part number is 6623-S Forgot to ask how much.

    JBA makes a mid length header now. I think it's around $500 for stainless and it's got a CARB number.

    I bought a set of those cams when Scotty was working there. Yeah they lope and you don't need valve springs but I didn't feel the power was there with my blower. So now I sold them and I'm getting a set of VT stage 1 blower cams and crower springs. BTW - SHM customer support went down...

    I would recommend changing the springs. Think about it this way, it would be one less thing to do when you do rebuild for power.
