    Roll Bar Q'S

I don't have any pic's with the doors open but I can get some next week if you want. The nice thing with the swing out door kits (which are NHRA legal) is that you can unbolt & take the door bars out. Which is nice if the car is a daily driver.

    Roll Bar Q'S

http://swracecars.com makes a weld in roll bar pre-bent for fox convertibles (your top will clear it) for $169.95. Just make sure to specify that it's a convertible. It's an 8-point bar & is legal just have a shop fit it & weld it in. You need at least 6-point in a convertible that runs faster...

    Shaving heads?

I had Thumper shave 30 thousands off of mine for a little more compression. It'll bump you to about 9.8. You can safely go to 40 thousands but I wouldn't recommend pushing it any further.

    Fiberglass Hoods vs. Metal Hoods

Not an issue with latching. If you hav e a fiberglass hood you should use pins. I'm an Insurance Appraiser & I see these claims several time a year. At high speeds the latch can tear out of the fiberglass. Last thing anyone needs is a hood flying up into the windshield.

    wanted-pictures of rollbar install

Thanks :nice: ....I'm trying to keep the look simple & clean. I have a new trunk lid for it to smooth out the back (getting rid of the luggage rack) & then I want to work on the interior. New door panels & recover the seats. I appreciate the compliment.

    wanted-pictures of rollbar install

I'm not familiar with autopower's roll bar so I don't know how it's supposed to just drop in. I got mine from C&W Racecars & had a local shop that specializes in mustangs fit it & weld it in. I lowered the cross bar in the back so it's even with the back seat. That way I can still use the back...

    Electric Fans?

I got mine from Jegs Part #778-67015 $125.99 + tax. Proform Electric fan. Direct bolt on for the mustang. It's the same at the Flex-a-lite Black magic fan but almost $100 less (If you rather have the Flex-a-lite it's Part# 400-175 $219.99)

    roll bar for my fox?

Yeah, just specifiy what you have when you order it. If you intend on still using your stang as a street car, I would recommend spending the extra money on a swing out door kit. Climbing over the door bars all the time can be a real pain the the a$$

    [dilemna] 3k and a bone stock 88 5.0

Gears, Exhaust, Supercharger. That should eat up your 3K. Shop on Ebay & save a few bucks. That should be enough to make the car plenty fast for now & then you can save up for the suspension, heads, intake, ect. Besides, superchargers just sound cool :nice:

    Best Roll Cage?

I got mine from S&W Racecars www.swracecars.com . The bars is pre bent for the mustang. I think it was $169 for the 8 point bar & $80 for the swing out kit. You can still use the rear seat if you run the cross bar level with the rear seat.

Took it to the track & broke something?

I didn't pull the valve covers yet but I checked the coolant & it looks fine (not like chocolate milk). No visible difference in the coolant level either. I'm thinking that if it's a head gasket, that it might not be that big of a tear & that it's mostly blowing exhaust into the coolant. I'm...

    intakes

I have a Typhoon on mine. The casting is rougher on the Typhoons so it doesn't flow as well right from th box but they're just as good if not better if you have it ported. If your on a budget, I'd recommend picking one up & having it ported.

Took it to the track & broke something?

I took the Stang to the track this weekend for the first time. On my third run I think I blew a head or intake gasket. She'll blow smoke out of the right tailpipe that smells like antifreeze but it'll only smoke for a minute or 2 & then nothing. I don't hear any miss so it's running on all...

Are the shift kits worth getting?

Are you going to weld them on or are they bolt on. I recommend welding. Some subframe connectors can be bolted on but over time the bolts can strech.

Worth getting cold air kit or just put k&n panel in?

If you want the looks, go with a CAI. If not the panel K&N is fine. I went with the CAI because I feel better spraying nitrous into an aluminum tube instead of a plastic one. If you int the Lancaster area you can have my old K&N panel filter, It's got 3000 miles on it but you can use the K&N...

The thread of the nicest FOXES!

tjm73 Thanks! The wheels are Centerline Webs, but they are discontinued (got a great deal from centerline on them though). I wanted a wheel that was different & centerline was clearing theses ones out. The wheels are 17x9's, I don't know the backspacing but centerline made them specifically for...

Are the shift kits worth getting?

It's worth it. I have the transgo kit in mine. Might want to consider a higher stall converter & a trans cooler while your at it to wake up the AOD. Also, look into subframe connectors. They are a must on a convertible. Gears are a good idea & they won't impact mileage as much as you think.
