and thus he bangs his head on the wall...

Exactly what you said here. He IMed me Monday about this issue after posting this and I told him to check to make sure the rods were not backwards with the radiuses facing the wrong direction. He confirmed it yesterday after his test and messaged me to let me know but obviously did not check...

    70 tank in a 69....any hidden probs?

I bolted a 70 tank in my 66 and used a 69 modified filler neck. You should have no problems Eric and your filler neck will probably work fine.

    EFI Fuel system pics....

Nice job Eric. What type of EFI setup are you running? I'm not sure what to tell you about the return line. I don't like having an EFI tank without a baffle. I have heard of people (Windsor-Fox for one) using the drain plug for the return. In your case I would weld a bung in. Next time you...

Did you check the tranny mount too?

    runs choppy when in reverse.

It sounds like your passenger motor mount is broken and thus when in reverse the engine tries to lift on that side. Put a floor jack under the oil pan with a board between the two and carefully and slowly jack up on the oil pan and watch to see if the motor mount is broken. If it is it will be...

Check your passenger side motor mount. Hell, check both while you are down there.

how much hp is too much?

I couldn't agree more. There are a lot of cars out there that are only good for burnout contests.

Windsor-Fox sucks, any one else making...

Just make your own. It is not a hard part to fabricate with basic shop tools. I will be making the one I need for a buddy's car when I install the AOD.

    3.00 gears revs 3000 at 70mphs?

I have a 3.98 gearset in the Shelby with 225/60-14s....you are lucky at 70 mph.

    Making sub-frame connectors?

If you can get round tubing subframe connectors then do so as they are superior to ones made of square tubing. Through the floor square tubing connectors are alright but they will mess up the look of your backseat floor and carpet fitment becomes an issue.

    What is a title?

If the seller cannot provide you a clear title upon surrender of funds then considering you are in Australia I would not buy the car. You probably should use a buying agent on this end to insure you do not get screwed....paying to have it converted to right hand drive is going to be expensive...

    What is a title?

A title is no more than an official statement of ownership that is issued by the state in which you reside. If you purchase a car from the dealer you get a title that shows the lending institution as a lien holder against your vehicle which means technically they own it....once paid off you...

Engine dyno'd today tri-y's choking it by 28hp

If the Tri-Ys you are reffering to are the ones found on a real Shelby they you have to remember they were made for a 289 CI engine and are designed to make good all around torque. They are a great header for a mild street engine but if ringing every last HP out of a stroker or even an...

Behold And Be Amazed At This $ To Hp Ratio

For comparison, I built a 351 using a sportsman shortblock from Ford which is basically the good block with stock truck internals. The compression ratio is 9:1, heads are Edelbrock Victor Jr.s which I gasket matched and blended, and a Victor Jr. intake was used. The Lunati roller cam specs I...

    In tank EFI fuel pump.

I didn't do anything on the inside since it was not easy to get in there after I finished. This was over three years ago. We are about to transfer the EFI setup from that 1986 Bronco to the 1973 Bronco my buddy just bought so I will take the tank I modified and cut it open to get the baffle...

    In tank EFI fuel pump.

Look at the pics of my tank I listed earlier in this thread. That is a homemade baffle which was based on a plastic baffle I pulled out of a Taurus SHO tank, I could not make the plastic one work to my liking so I made my own. The one I installed in the Bronco tank was simply taken directly...

    In tank EFI fuel pump.

Another thing I have done is cut open brand new tanks and then welded baffles in them for the stock sending units to work with so you can run simply one external pump. I did this on an 86 Bronco I helped a friend with. I used a baffle out of an old Fox body Mustang for time's sake instead of...

    In tank EFI fuel pump.

With no baffles in your tank you will be very unpleased with the results. I toyed with the idea you have displayed but quickly realised it wasn't going to work correcty. You need baffles or a header tank. I prefer intank pumps so I made my own system that allows me to change pumps with a...
