    12.xx in an S197 GT???

I am on another board with the guy. He did it with those mods and not much for weight reduction. It was a great day for racing as the DA was well below Sea-level.

    5.4 2v swap quick questions???

You were right when you did your 4V swap. Things haven't changed much. If you are looking at 400 RWHP N/A, you won't hit that number with a 5.4 2V, you might get close with a 5.4 3V. A 4.6L 2V with Trick Flow heads might get you close to 400 RWHP, 4.6L 3V have already achieved that feat...

    5.4 2v swap quick questions???

Bill, I am not going to play any more games with you. I am going to tell you exactly how it is. You are stupid. Time for you to realize that. I am not the idiot who tried and failed to make a 5.4 3V N/A project. Last I recall, My not very exotic 5.0L 2V N/A project destroyed the numbers...

    5.4 2v swap quick questions???

N/A 5.4 2V and N/A 5.4 3V engines always make more torque than a similar 4.6L and always make less horsepower than a similar 4.6L. The best 2V and 3V heads( PORTED ) do not flow enough air N/A for the 5.4L. Typically it is 17 - 40 RWHP less... There is a lot of speculation that the new...

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

Personally, if you plan on staying N/A, I would go with the SVO head over the PI head and build a higher compression ratio shortblock. Budget N/A, it is tough to beat the horsepower increase of the compression bump that the PI head adds to a NPI shortblock. If you don't have the funds to do...

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

I too had a set of these heads. I didn't use them as my engine builder( still a current Ford Engine Engineer ) didn't recommend using them for what I wanted to do. If my car was going to be more of a strip car than daily driver, we would have used these heads as they would make a bit more...

Pick Blower Cams For My Setup.. I Know I Know But I Searched

Having the valve seat machined is one way of getting the NPI & SVO heads to run larger lift cams. My P&P NPI heads did not have the valve seats machined and I don't have any issues running a large cam. I am running Crower Stage 2 PI SC cams that are .581 lift, mine were actually .588 when they...

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

The head I listed is the old SVO head, just rebadged as an FRPP head. They have been FRPP for quite a few years. Just a note on these heads with a SuperCharger( SC ) or TurboCharger( TC ). These are not good heads for a streetable engine with either a SC or TC. If you are going to a SC...

Pick Blower Cams For My Setup.. I Know I Know But I Searched

I like HiTech N/A cams, but I completely disagree with them on their SC cam grind. You should be looking for a cam that favours the exhaust( duration and lift ) and have an LSA of around 114 if you are using a supercharger.

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

The SVO head was the King of 2V heads until Trick Flow released their 2V head. They won't raise the compression ratio on a NPI engine, they will lower it on a PI engine. They will work fine with a PI intake, same deal for the SVO head as it is for the NPI head to do a PI Intake swap on.

PI Heads vs Ford Racing Cylinder Heads

Last time I checked, about a month ago, the SVO/FRPP head is NOT discontinued. Ford has lowered the price significantly on these. From the current 2009 FRPP Catalog. Still available... Ford Racing Performance Parts [M-6049-D46]

    Deciding on which cams...

There are people running Crower Stage 2 PI SC cams without notched pistons. The reason I mention that is that the TrickFlow Stage 2 cam is identical with slightly less lift. Crowers have .581 lift, TF have .580 lift. That stated, it depends on your plans as to which cam to use. With...

    Torq. Converter Question

How times have changed? I kept my nose out of what happened between you and Alan. I am actually kind of curious to hear your side of the story... That said. I have been extremely happy with my CircleD reworked PI Triple Disc.

    4.6 trickflow cams?

390ish RWHP, that is it? There is 5 that I know of 4.6L( Stock Bore/Stock Stroke ) 3V N/A cars over 410 RWHP, one of them is flirting with 420. There is 2 N/A Stock Long-Block 4.6L S197 GT's running 11's. I am so impressed with your 5.4 example. Whatever, I am done dealing with you.a You...

    BUILT NPI DYNO NUMBERS!!!!

Well not to be mean but 300 RWHP N/A with NPI heads was done a long time ago. Johnny Langton made over 300 RWHP N/A with NPI heads about 5 - 6 years ago and he did it with an auto to boot. Last time I talked to him, his best was 12.16 @ 111 MPH with a 3700 pound TBird.

How much weight should I put in the trunk

The TC on the 05 - 09 GT's sucks donkey nuts in the snow. I am driving my 05 GT in the snow currently with Michelin X-Ice 2 tires. When I am driving through deep snow or just starting to move the car in snow, I turn the TC off because it hurts you more than it helps. Once moving I turn the TC...
