    Sounds good. I have a BBK offroad H-pipe if you need one. I had to get a shorty h-pipe with the longtubes. If you want it or want to hear what it'll sound like with an H-pipe, just shoot me a PM or an e-mail.

    The cobra and the audi are both extremely fun cars. The Audi has a different feel and I like the interior a lot more. With 4 doors and AWD, it's more of a family sports car and it's hard to compare it with a RWD V8 pony car.

    Before the longtubes, i'd get around 25mpg. The key is to have the heat and air conditioning off and keep it on cruise control. If you vary speed or have the accessories on (mainly the air conditioning), the mpg will go down.

    What speedshop just opened? If you haven't heard an x-pipe paired with flowmasters... be warned! That's probably the worst combo on a mustang i've ever heard!

    OIL: 6 or 7 quarts ?????

    I'm sticking with 6. The engine was designed and tested for 6 qts. Putting in 1/2qt so the dipstick (which reads .5 qt low to begin with) reads right makes no sense to me.

    I had an offroad H-pipe with stock mufflers for awhile and it didn't sound all that great. Flowmasters really helped out the sound, especially with no tailpipes in place.

    They're all loud (offroad midpipe with longtubes), the muffler just tunes the sound and completes the whole setup.

    Unless it has 48V screaming at 7800RPM. Or 30V at 8000RPM. Those sound a lot more exotic to me than a v8 with an x-pipe.

    Put it back to stock. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt they would void your warranty for the mods you have listed but it's always better to put it back to factory specs before handing it back to Ford. Sounds like you got a factory freak in a bad way!

    Want to buy a Cobra.. Advice?

    Miles? Vert/coupe? How does it have a catback exhaust with no mufflers? Catback's are from the cat (catalytic convertors), back to the tailpipes. The grind on a high-rpm 1-2 shift indicates something is probably going to give on the trans on a good powershift. I'd have the trans looked at.

    I bought mine when I was 19 and never got into any trouble. My buddy has a low 12-sec 5.0 so I somewhat learned what speed felt like on his and how to pull yourself out of hairy situations. Just be careful with it and learn to control the throttle.... Very simple and it really isn't all that...

    96 Cobra sounds like it is back firing?

    Mine did it when I put flowmasters on my offroad h-pipe. It would only do it on 5-7k quick shifts and not on a powershift for whatever reason. I lost a turndown at 7k in 3rd gear from a backfire! :D
