    brake caliper problem.....

Those are the correct caliper for 68 disc spindles. They do use a banjo bolt. See http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/Cat_keywords.asp?CatKey=EMUSTANG&Keywords=caliper+bolt for the correct parts from Mustang Unlimited. It really is amazing what the catalog companies ask for small parts. These...

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Yes, I should have written 65-67. In fact, the brackets will fit all 65-73 drum spindles.

    Mustang Drop Spindles

I have a lot of projects in development. I have nearly wrapped up the 68-73 type front brake kit. I have all the parts but the hoses and hardware in hand. Those are due in August. The design and logistics are complete for a KH type 65-66 kit. It is in production now. The drop spindles are being...

Very soft pedal after frong disc brake swap

That's correct, the bleeders should point back and be at the higher mount point. Don't rule out improperly adjusted rear brakes.

    Versailles rear a bolt-in for a '65?

In fact, Brembo has rotors manufactured for them in China. Making a brake rotor is not rocket science. They are a fairly simple Iron casting with extensive but basic machining. The metallurgy is very simple. These kind of products are best manufactured where labor is cheap, governments are...

Which is the better bearing company ?

Quality is not an accident, nor is it a function of where something is made. BCA and Timken have a reputation for marketing and quality. This said, there are many good bearing manufacturers in China. Making a quality bearing is not leading edge tech; it's more a function of capital and...

    Mustang pictures.

I hope that the moderators will tolerate my posting this in the tech section. I don't visit the other sections. I have finally begun to upgrade/refresh my website. It will feature pictures of Ford classics, mostly Mustangs, on the pages. I would appreciate your submissions for publishing. The...

    Granada track width

I'm just answering the challenge and setting the record straight. The poster was not satisfied with supposition, only first hand knowledge. I can see the desire for first hand knowledge.

    Granada track width

A couple of weeks ago there was a posting in which the poster contended that he experienced an increase in track width upon installing the Granada swap (specifically, using CSRP spindle). He posed a question to the effect -does anyone have first hand information about track widths of the various...

    Spindle Damage

They very well may have. I realize your parts were probably just take offs, but in general, watch out for ebay vendors offering free assembly of the brake parts, especially with refurbed stuff. They can hide alot inside that rotor or drum!

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Right you are. I just fit a 65-67 rotor to a 70 type drum spindle by using a 70 type inner bearing. Of course, the 65-67 bracket fits, so the 4 pot caliper and its shield should fit as well. I'm not sure many will want to use the early model 4 piston caliper on 68-73 cars, but choice is...

I said before that I would use the 3/8" port. I meant the 7/16" as you suggest.

65-66 vs 67 KH caliper brackets

As some of you know, I am working on the reproduction of the 65-67 KH based front disc brake system. It is common knowledge that the caliper inlet is 7/16" for 67 vs 3/8" for 66. The anti-rattle clips are different as well. I have run across another major difference that requires me to make a...

    Mustang Drop Spindles

I should have said 65-67 KH system. The caliper will have a 3/8 input thread. Making the KH system work on the 70-73 drum spindle (or drop spindle) would require at least a new rotor. I'm not sure there would be enough demand to justify the rotor stocking order. Thanks.

Besides the drop spindles. A rear disc brake system to compliment the Granada front system: Reproduction of the 68-73 type Mustang disc brakes: (uses 70-73 type disc spindles/brackets), including original type hoses (68-69 type and 70-73 type in production), hardware (mostly done with the...
