    351W VS. 351 modified

Easy way to tell is the amount of bolts on the valve covers. Windsor block will have 6 valve cover bolts, 335 Series will have 8. Windsor will have thermostat housing on intake, 335 series will have it on the block.

    fe big blocks

A friend of a friend slapped a 390FE into a 4 banger hatch. It was a total hackjob though. Motor was up way high, and tolted so the C6 would fit in the tranny tunnel. It went pretty good, and the welded 7.5" held up for a long time. Although he had cooling issues with the 4 banger rad and...

Vents won't work after heater core change. Can anyone help?

    Yeah. Nothing beats firsthand experience.

    Computer Failing?

I would suspect that possibly your smog codes could play a role if your EGR valve is stuck open or something of that nature. If you are getting too much exhaust gas at an idle the mixture may be so screwed that it chokes out the motor. Just a thought...

Vents won't work after heater core change. Can anyone help?

What he said. THere is one vacuum motor that is behind the stereo on the driver's side, had a yellow vacuum line going to it. I accidentally pulled it off without knowing after i was wrestling with the dash after replacing the heater core.

    blower motor relay

I belive it is a small rectangular box mounted underneath the dash beside the glove compartment. I saw it while i was doing my heatercore change. I think you on my Stang i can just remove the glove compartment inside and then reach beside, unclip it from the harness and pop in a new one.

Bolt AND EZ-Out snapped in block.

That would have been my first suggestion before there was a easy-out broken off in it. You have really only two options, get a very good drill bit and be very careful to drill out the easy-out without going crooked and wiping out the threads, or weld a nut to it. Welding a nut on has...

    blower motor relay

I have the same issue in my Mustang, blower only works on high. The part needed to fix it is a resistor block which has resistors for the lower speeds. The reason being, all the resistors are blown on the low speeds, but max blower speed is straight through with no resistor. Not sure if...

Running Hot after new TFS intake install???

I ususally burp the system but filling it, letting it get warm, then cracking one of the heater hoses off the heater core. Since those hoses are the highest point, any air in the block will usually come out. If you get water up there coming out. It's bled, reconnect it, and you should be good...

    Stock Operating Temperature?

With a new Rad and coolant flush, mine runs about in between the 1st and 2nd line on the stock guage. Going to have to get a real gauge one of these days.

    91 GT 140 speedo...bounces like mad!!

I haven't looked at the mustang dash cluster for a while, but usually when the speedo or tach bounces, its because it is dirty. If you open it up, you shuold be able to lube up the speedo mechanism.

    Bonehead mistake.....

ECT sensor plays a large role in the A/F ratio. Especialy on cold starts, if it thinks the engine is cold it will enrich the ratio. Is it throwing the ETC out of range code? Get that **** plumbed back in, then report back.

    Electrical Chao

I haven't looked at that setup specifically, but i don't think tapping a sensor wire to power a fan is a good idea. Are you tapping into it to trigger a relay or to actually run the fan? Also, if the fuse is popping with the fan, it must be overloading the circuit, how do you have the fan...

    Weight Reduction VS Hooking?

I think you're problem is because it is single-trac and you're turning at the same time. Unloads the weight off the drive tire, viola, spins. I could lay rubber with my 60hp 1.3L Suzuki Samurai when the rear end was open and i cranked around a corner and laid on the gas. How about you try...

    86 SD 5.0L problems

On a SD car the MAP sensor (not seeing a BP sensor on the 86 wiring diagram) is the main sensor for the computer to determine what the engine is doing. You say the car deosn't run with it plugged in. This sensor needs a vaccuum line from the intake to function properly (Manifold Absolute...

    87GT stumbling, backfire thru intake

Hey, I have a similar situation with my 87GT. After i go on a WOT assault through the gears, then back off and cruise at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle it will sometimes, hesitate, hiccup, stumble whatever, also the odd backfire (sounds like muffled up through the intake). The car runs fine all other...

    Newb Turbo Questions...

Hey guys, I've been reading up on turbomustangs.com quite a bit, the turbo bible etc etc. Ok, I've read somewhere that SD works better for boosted applications. Is this referring to the stock EEC-IV SD i have in my 87 Stang or ??? How does the MAP sensor handle reading boost rather...
