I know for sure that an AOD does not have lock-up at all. I am a transmission tech and have been one for 8 years. An AODE does have it as well as the 4r70w.They went to an AODE in 94.
Are you sure you have an AOD and not AODE. Because an AOD trans has no lock up. If you want a good converter. There is a Co. called Delmarva that will build you one that you want
