    i would also check all your vacume lines,esp to your map sensor..a bad signal to the map sensor can make it run rich and only codes you will get is rich codes

    he isnt wanting to swap the complete rear end..just the axle itself..and not real sure on it..but dont think a 8.8 axle will work in a 7.5 rear..if you have access to a good complete 8.8 just swap the whole thing

    I havent had to put brakes on my car yet..but from experiance the cars that i have worked on that the pistons needed to be turned while goin back in,would not go back in unless you turned them :shrug: If ya brakes are workin ok..dont worry about it..lol

    Sorry i coulnt reply sooner..My car is a 98 V6,when i originally done the exh on it,i just bought replacement tailpipes for a GT and went to the ford place bought the hanger for the pass side..You can do that and just get what mufflers you want on it,and get someone to make a short pipes to hook...

    might need a ridge reamer..but what does it matter if ya bust the pistons getting them out..bore it and put new pistons in anyway.. :rolleyes:

    well not positive..but prolly 7.8 rears in the ranger...and i would check the rules before doin to much to a motor...but even carb'd..if you got the $$ to spend on it can make a screamer out of it...headwork,camshaft,header,maybe a holly and so on..But like i said,check the rules..some tracks...

    Well been tinkerin...Actually put a diff throttle body,tps and all on it...cleared the codes,test drove it.....Runnin 100 % better,but still think the running rich problem not solved..Checked the codes again....KOEO = ONLY THING IS 89.........KOER = only thing come up was 42,13.....I am pleased...

    Well been checking a few things this morn so far...Found no majior fuel leaks.Timing actually retards when first hit the throttle and returns to where it was dont go past the 34 i think was the highest it gets with the spout in...Checked the codes..i have a few books that give diff meanings for...

    the base timing is around 14 deg...with the spout in the timings jumps around from 24 to 34 dont get any higher when it revs...I dont think it was advancing when it revs..but i will double check that tomorrow also

    Well i installed the new timing belt this evening,.Test drove it up the road and back..thing loads up bad idiling but clears up when you get into the throttle...Tired of messing with this thing today...Gonna see if there any codes in it tomorrow and also jack it up and make sure there is no fuel...

    yea i say ya need a new clutch..but your aunts car is prolly a hydrolic assisted clutch,much easier to operate than a cable operated clutch.

    Think the ol' 2.3 took a crap...

    ARE you loosing water?If not they for sure wouldnt be wet.The head gasket could be blowed between the cyl's..like between the two that have 90psi, and not actually blowed into the water jacket.. :shrug:
