    Okay, yes trickflow made regular old 170cc TW's with no name on them. you can tell by the angle at which the valves are cocked at.

    tore the 331 down today to prep for heads and..

    for a street car there is no need for the windage tray. you may pick up like 3hp at hig rpms...it's a waste IMO, as is the bigger pan for a street driven 331. I could see if you are trying to squeeze like 425+rwhp NA out of this thing with a Dart block, but cmon.

    I will be using the stock pan and std. volume pump in my 331, i dont plan on spinning over 6200 rpms NA, which these parts should do fine with. I will need a better shaft, as i twisted my stock one a few years back pulling up my driveways...that sucked I dont know if the nitrous makes any...

    im with the others, but it does look clean. make sure you get a carfax so you can see if it's had any major accidents.

    Those in the northern climates...

    i hate the cold weather, but i do like being able to rip the motor out this winter break, clean the bay, perhaps POR15 it, and then get it all set up for the 331. My tractions is bad enough in the rain, i could imagine if i got caught in a bad snowstorm on a road that hadn't seen a plow yet.

    yep a sumped tank, you can buy tanks that already cut and welded (sumped) like that or you can buy just the new piece and do it urself.

    Grn's right, its not so much the oil ring through the pin hole as it is have the end gaps of the OIL ring in the pin hole. This is why KB pistons (not sure of others) have a small dowell in the oil ring land to keep the oil ring from moving around the piston. And my 331 also has the piston pin...

    i suggest doing the clearencing yourself, it should save you a couple hundred bucks. I just bought one of this jigs off ebay to be the guinea pigs around here for it, so i will let everyone know how it works for my 331.

    88gt cmon man, a 100 million dollar oil rig (offshore) to a 130 dollar TB...how many rigs do you guys pump out a year 40? if you guys were making 75 cents an hour pumping these out by the thousands you wouldn't do **** either. thanks for posting that up for the budget guys redsnake.
