Flaming river box and other P/S stuff

I know the car has about 12k on it since it was restored. The box was done sometime after that and is still fine. Just put a rack in it. So somewhere under 12k miles. They go for 500+. He wants 300 for it

Flaming river box and other P/S stuff

Box is a FR unit out of a 68 mustang, so two piece. Has the control valve, center link, ram, and idler. Idler worn out and you would still need a pump. reasonable offer ?

    Overdrive for C4

PM me and let me know if you want a core or a rebuilt one. I don't know that it would be cheaper than a gear vendor. At least comparable. You need the GV unit, and a new driveshaft. Sooo, 3k ? AOD requires the AOD, converter, shift linkage or shifter all together, drive shaft, crossmember, TV...

Brake kits - manual versus auto trans, why?

It will clear. But the old MC's they used to used where better. They weren't chromed. Now the new chromed versions have bits of flaked off chrome in the MC bore, and when you bench bleed it looks like a shaken up snow globe. But the booster are a better batch. No clicking, and no bad diaphragms...

    Clutch Chatter... So Now What???

Awesome to hear. Just for anyone who searches this. HAd one that we couldn't figure out also. Set of Caltracs solved it. You could feel it for a split second try it and then the bar would hit the leafs and stop the chatter.

Machined block... but no main caps

I can't recall, but I remember there was a preferred order to machine a block. I want to say you want the caps on an torqued when you bore and hone for the same reason you want a torque plate on when you bore and hone. But probably splitting hairs.....I would check farther into it though. If it...

Pulleys for a 351 Clevor engine

I don't have any pics but I just made a patle that bolted to the head, and weld a piece of tubing that was threaded to it. I did that for an Alt. But you should be able to run a saginaw pump from unisteer. I use them all the time for stuff like that. It bolts to the water pump, not the head, so...

    AFR 165

I'd measure after the heads are one, especially if the cam changes. After market head are usually .100 long on the valves so they can get more spring in there without bind. Will it run ? Yes. Ideal no. Plus it's good policy to get hardened push rods, so you might as well get the right length.

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

Yep, that's the pump I use. Used it for my TT kit. it helped a lot because of it's size. Did you get it with the high flow valve in it ?

    Unisteer Rack & Pinion

I've only ever had problems with the manual rack because of the angle the output shaft is at. P/S racks have fit with every long tube so far.
