What size short belt for this combo ?

You gotta measure it. Borrow a fabric tape measure from your woman's sewing box. Run the tape measure around the pulleys just as the belt would run. That will give you the measurement. Just to be safe get that size belt and the next smaller and next larger one. Then just take the 2 back...

Fox Mustang Books. Where can you purchase theses?

I highly reccomend getting the Ford factory service manual. The instructions are very detailed with great diagrams on how to do everything. It has saved me alot of time and money. You see them used on E-bay fairly regularly. Al Kirschenbaum's book "The Official Ford Mustang 5.0: Technical...

Eventhough it was well taken care of, it is still 154k miles. Before I would put the motor in anything, it would have to be torn down. IMHO, you are asking way too much money. GT-40 heads - $250 Shortblock $500 Trans $450 Misc other stuff- $250 See what the parts go for on E-bay...

    When to go rear disc?

You can put rear rotors from a Cadilliac Seville on it and keep the stock axles. The Cadillac rotors have the emergency brake built right in. It is a pretty common conversion www.mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/4lug.html

    Help, car hasn't been started.....

If you pull the coil wire off the distributor , engine will crank but not run. The cold start method listed by bill302 is the correct way to do for an engine that has been sitting for a long time. But if you are not fully comfortable with the procedure of pulling the dizzy and priming the oil...

    PA Inspection and my frustrations

In PA, If car is driven less than 5000 miles per year, you are exempt from emissions testing. Also, not all counties in PA have emissions testing. I have regular tags. Mine just passed with no emissions test. Only put about 1200 miles on it last year

Buy a clean, straight and rustfree roller and swap all your mechanical parts into it. That's probably the most cost effective way to go.

Do NOT rent a car in NYC!! Between the traffic, parking and the cost, it is not worth it. Best way from EWR to NYC. Both Amtrak and NJ Transit trains stop at Newark Airport station. From the airport, there is a monorail that will take you to the Newark Airport train station. From there you...
