    Car Craft show in Minnesota

I went last year and will definately go again this year. I'd say I saw mostly Chevy, but it was still fun to go to. I did like the burnout comp. Last year they had the Ebay Fastforward car there which was cool because I had seen it on a couple shows on tv. I did take lots of pictures...

Tough to get into reverse recently

It seems like engine running or not it is hard to get into rev. No grinding. Just seems like you are running into a wall where it used to kind of ploop in before. I have heard some grinding at one time when I would put it into reverse. Tonight when I was driving it, I was downshifting...

Tough to get into reverse recently

The last couple times I've driven my car the thing is nearly impossible to shift into reverse. It is like someone put a plate in front of the linkage. Then if I muscle it a few times she'll slide in. Then I can shift out of rev and back in (although not very easily). From what I've been...

    steering wheel restoration?

I picked up one off ebay for a nice price. It has a few cracks but no chunks missing. I like the big wheel look better than the smaller aftermarket ones.

That is exactly what I would bet it is. I was thinking brakes all along. Hope it is - that's a cheap, easy fix.

    water

Was out tonight to the daughter's tball game in the stang. It got rained out. First time since I've had the car that I've been rained on. Turned a corner pretty fast and my right foot got splashed... Pretty sure it is the cowl. How can a guy inspect that and what can be done to it if it...

    leaf springs

Should be able to just do the rears. I did all coils and leafs when I did mine and after adding spring clamps onthe front it sits perfect for my liking. I used standard leafs. I had a hard time getting the eye bolts out on each side - finally was able to "push" them out with a 8" C-clamp...

    Electrical problem

Whoops - just re-read the original post. When you said courtesy lights I thought that meant the signals. I was thinking those were the same as the blinkers on 67. My bad.

Hahaha!! If I get the seat out for you, will you rebuild my motor? J/K Pull up from the front but only after you've pushed in on the bottom of the front. Push in, pull up.

    Noob....

Rear seat in my 65 fb just pulls out. But you might have to push in at the bottom of the front. There are two "hooks" that hold it down. Probably about a foot in from each end. Nice price - can't wait to see pix. P

    Electrical problem

This might help: (Found it in another thread) http://www.geocities.com/midlife66/wiring/wiring.html I wasn't able to pull up the TIFF files. Hope you have better luck than me. I do have jpg's of the 65 diagram but don't know how close they are. P

    Door springs.

I seem to recall thinking the same thing when I got mine. Pretty sure mine was the same length when I got it. The spring seems to curve when it is in the door. Mine still doesn't hold the door open even though I got that sucker in. I think the cam or whatever they call the hunk of metal that...

    Something Popped!!

Could chock the front wheels and jack up the drivers rear and turn the wheel around by hand and see if the noise is there.

    Torque Strap ideas?

I used braided steel cable and bolted it to one of the extra threaded holes on the top of the block and the other end goes into a L bracket I fabbed and bolted to the swaybar mounting bolts. That's on a 65 with a 289. Don't know if your setup would have similar placement of bolts/holes.

    Electrical problem

Try replacing the turn signal switch. Checker and AutoZone have replacement cam's for about $10 in their STOP section. Also would suspect the light switch. Those switches run a LOT of crap. And the light switch has power weather the key is on or not.... You should be able to find a...
