    Door springs.

I had one missing a while back - ordered one from one of the catalogs. Had a bitch of a time getting it in, but I finally did. It is the right length. You just have to muscle it in. Think I used a combination of a screwdriver and a needlenose vice grip. Scratched up the inside of my door...

What do you think of these wheels?

Ooooh, I like that Trackstar S/S - like in the link you posted! P

Has any one replaced the drip rail molding ?

I've never tried the stuff, but would JB Weld do anything? I think I've seen some stuff that looks like clay and you mash it together (maybe some sort of putty epoxy). If you clean the rails down to bare metal, maybe you could patch it with that stuff... Just tryin to come up with ideas.

    Nothings ever easy

When mine had the vac leak, it did almost exactly what you are describing. Once it warmed up it would idle a little better, but I was always having to fiddle with the pedal to keep it running when it was cold. Did you check the extra vaccuum nipples on the back of the manifold/carb spacer to...

Let the projects begin on my 67 Fastback

Carlos, I finally found some pics of the rims I was talking about. Sorry this is in the wrong post, but here they are:

Another Ebay post - this one is a question

I think so too, but why would they only be asking for my name and address and not bank accounts and such?

Another Ebay post - this one is a question

It's looking more and more like a scam. The seller hasn't had any feedback and just signed up recently. I did send a message to ebay - I think I know what they are going to come back with...

    Nothings ever easy

If you suspect a vac leak you can shoot some carb cleaner around the carb spacer and if the engine changes rpm, you have a vac leak. I'd check that first. It is the easiest and you won't lose any skin off your knuckles. I thought I had a nice tight carb. Sprayed on each side...one side, no...

Another Ebay post - this one is a question

Nope, suppose that would be a good idea, huh? Will do that now. Thanks!

Another Ebay post - this one is a question

I put in a low-ball bid on a 68 stanger. The auction was cancelled after a couple days. I sent a question to the seller. They emailed back saying they are out of the country and had turned the transaction over to ebay itself to sell the car outright at a fixed price, which includes...

How does this hood to radiator seal go?

Sounds like a very permanent, temporary mount...good thing post-it notes weren't invented yet :D

    I paid $4500 for this.

That's a great way to do it Max! Never thought about an agreement such as that. That is how I will do the next one.

not really happy with car stance

Just went and looked at the picture. If you aren't wanting to lower the rear at all, I think those spring clamps would get you where you want. I think they came to $13 with tax for two sets. That is a sweet looking Cobra too!

not really happy with car stance

My front end was high after putting in some new 620's. Rear got new leafs and was about right for my liking. I went to checker and picked up a couple sets of spring clamps. Threw them on the front coils, squeezed the coils together on each side of the spring. Was perfect for my needs. It...

    I paid $4500 for this.

I bought my 65 fb off ebay also and have been super happy with it. I think you hit it on the head - you have to contact the seller before you commit and only if they give you enough good info to give you a good feeling about it. Max Power, that is a Saweet looking Maverick. What's something...

    1965 Starter spins

Oh, by the way - here is some info that makes me question the originality of the transmission/engine combo. I'm pretty sure the transmission is not original. The reason I think so is that it has a B&M shift lever with a Hurst-like knob on it. The shift pattern is 4-speed with reverse to the...

    1965 Starter spins

I'll check into that - thanks. Originality not a big deal at this point. Thks.

    1965 Starter spins

I'm starting a new thread because I had asked a question in Pronkie's post (thinking he had fixed his problem) but since his is still ongoing, I didn't want to keep taking away from his troubleshooting. I have an issue where when my car is cold the starter seems to engage just fine, or at...
