    Does the large cable on the alternator come in contact with any part of the alternator casing? Could have happened inadvertantly.

    Most big name cam manufacturers have the advance you need profiled right into the design already. Maybe the guy meant advancing if your using a stock cam.

    Oil shooting out of your dipstick can't be a good thing. it's coming out the breather as well. knocking noise from the lower end at 40mph accompanies this. :bang: :bang: :bang:

    NICE FIND! Two things I like about the paint job, the extended scallop all the way to the front, and the silver paint only on the upper half of the bumper. Gives me ideas.

    Any competent machine shop can rebalance your flexplate to 50 oz. for about 50-75 bucks. stay with the 141 tooth flexplate.
