    1968 289 H2O

LOLOLOL that reminds me of a time I went to look at a 71' fastback. I showed up and this guy was working on the engine. I hadn't looked real close yet, but I noticed he had the valve covers off (6 bolts each) and was messing with the rockers (16 nuts). He told me he was having trouble getting it...

    Humphugger console

I dont have the measurement for the hole (I thought I had one laying around to measure) but they work well with the boots that the 69/70's use. The chrome trim ring that the factory shifters use also fills in under the hole nicely. So, if you don't like the boot that ties to your shifte lever...

need help with brake light wiring

You should find a grn/rd wire and a grn wire that go to the switch. The grn/rd wire should have power and the grn wire feeds power from the brake switch to the turn signal switch for the brake circuit.

    Master Cylinder swap

That is the distribution block/Proportioning valve. If you are planning on running 4wdb, you are going to want one for that application. SSBC makes a nice one that is also adjustable. Or I have also run the front brakes straight off of the MC and put an adjustable valve in the line to the rear...

    302 heads on a 289

I believe the Pushrods are the same. If one is bent you might have a stuck lifter. The heads on my 72' have studs with nuts that hold the rockers on. The nuts get tight 1/2 to 1 turn after there is no play in the pushrod between the lifter and the rocker. As far as the heads being compatible...

Detailed the engine on my 72'

This car has been a rolling restoration, and I have always been ashamed to open the hood at shows. Not any more. Engine before <a href="http://s1081.photobucket.com/albums/j355/ejkustomotive/72s%20detailed%20engine/?action=view&amp;current=1.jpg" target="_blank"><img...

Boss 302 Blower. What would you do?

Cleveland Heads in a 65 engine bay might give you header clearance problems also.

    302 heads on a 289

Lower compression means lower performance, but it also means lower octane requirements. If you are just cruising your car they are fine.

    67 Coupe Roof is fiberglass . . .

A new roof is available from Dynacorn. You can do a dealer search by zip code on their website to find the closest dealer to you. It is a lot of work to replace, but will be worth doing it right. Remember, rust is like an ice burg, you only see the top third.

    Power Steering Control Valve?

Do the rebuild yourself. The insides of those things are fascinating. Just keep track of how it comes apart and keep it real clean. I also recommend replacing the hoses.

Boss 302 Blower. What would you do?

That should be an awesome set up if you can find a blower intake for a 289/302 with 2v Clevaland heads. If you can find one for a Boss 302, which came with the 4v heads, you might be able to do a little port work to the heads to match the intake. the 2.05" valves will still give you good...

    1968 289 H2O

Thats actually not the guide that broke, but the seal. It looks like someone machined those heads to accept modern Valve Guide seals. Regardless of that, those heads are going to require all new seats, valves and possibly guides.

How are the exterior lights set up?

As per 2+2's instructions, it may not be necessary to cut the Black/Yellow wire and just use a Scotch Lock to splice it to the Black wire.

    69 Custom Console project

I will need to taper the console though to match the armrest.. maybe i can mount the pad to the ammo box.. lol That would give it a certain Mad Max appeal. lol.
