1966 Mustang: Mechanical To Electric Fuel Pump

Sounds like maybe to much pressure. I mech pump shouldn't have to much, but it might. You can put a regulator on it to lower the pressure, I'd start with a gauge they are cheap.

    1966 Alignment Questions

one the end of the tool the surface is canted 15 degree, you line the end up with the strings/lines. I usually put a ruler on it to make the angle easier to see and line up with the lines. Good point from rbohm too, I've got opentracker roller bearing LCAs. To much with the normal bushing...

    1966 Alignment Questions

I mis-spoke they are chassisworks. https://www.cachassisworks.com/c-809-upper-control-arms.aspx For caster and camber adjustments you turn sleeve, and then use the jam nuts to hold it (much like you do with tie rods ends). It is brilliant. They are not cheap, but well worth it. You might be...

    1966 Alignment Questions

Dennis has covered where the problems may be, I'll give you my experience with alignments. I concur with Dennis on the adjustable strut rods. I run 6 degrees for the same reasons he stated. I can drive hands off, it has no choice but to track straight. High speed, low speed, what ever it...

    Electrical Fuel Gauge Problem

Is it original gauge and sending unit (or Ford stuff)? I replaced both with after market stuff, I think I had a GM gauge and the voltage scale it required was different. I got a Ford gauge (both were autolite). I think it requires a linear scale and the sending unit sends a a non-linear signal...

Kelsey Hayes Disc Vs Pbr With Granda Spindles

KH CSRP with hawk pads, stops well. It was power, but went to manual for more room under the hood. I prefer the manual now. A little harder push than power, but I can feel and control it better.

    What ignition/distributor do you run?

While I admire a "pure" Ford car as much as the next guy, the OP listed 3 ignition systems that Ford never produced; and you spoke of one Ford never produced (MSD). If Ford was perfect there'd be no aftermarket. Most of the parts on my stang are based on a Ford, but there is probably not one...

    What ignition/distributor do you run?

Not related to the OP, but there are reasons occasionally to run GM products a TH400 or a Glide might be a better option than a C-4 when you get past what a C-4 can hold. Anyways, I run the MSD crank trigger, MSD pro dissy locked out, the programmable MSD 6, and the MSD HVC-2 coil. I've had...

    Parking brake for 8.8 posi

what kind of disc? I've got explorer on my 9", the parking brake was easy. I would not have the car without the e-brake. More for a loss of brakes, it is nice to know I've got a back up system. I did put a fox style lever in between the seats. I used a kit (can't think of what brand it...

How many CFM needed for electric fan?

if you drag race, you can cool your motor between rounds or in the pits with an electric fan and pump with the motor off; can't do that with an engine driven. sometimes there is a need.

    Battery Choices....

I had a Deka Intimidator, several people on the bullet highly recommended it and I got is pretty cheap. Well I toasted it on the charger and it didn't last long at all. I needed a batter and couldn't wait, so I got a redtop. I've had it for over a year now, no issues. I know a lot of people...

    5.0 Swap Radiator Hoses

I am a couple weeks out from this same problem (a couple more odds and ends to wrap up). I went to a drivers side out electric pump (and can't put the outlet on the other side due to alternator and crank trigger). If you figure something out can you post it? If I get to it first I will. I...
