    What would you buy?

Well, i'm gonna say again, after reading your replies, that i would supercharge. I suppose that you could run a 28x9" slick at the track, and you 'might' be ok. I seem to remember a 1" taller increase in tire size is roughly equivalent to dropping your gear down 13 numbers.. So a two inch...

Dyno results - with Thumper heads

I know I know... :nonono: Like I said Mike... bout the 2nd or 3rd week of April... i'll be contacting you! BUT before the H/C/I go on.... I'm doing the following: Some aftermarket ctrl arms, an air bag in the right rear [should I do two air bags??], some more weight removal [front...

    What would you buy?

No. The 155 L/hr pump, 24 lbers & BBk adj. regualtor should be good for a natural aspirated 375 flwheel HP according to the few different charts i've seen. BTW how do you like your BBK regulator? I have one but havent heard much about them... good or bad really..

Install intake/TB/MAF now or wait for heads and cam?

Oh yeah, It would kill off some of your bottom end throttle response... but with your 3.73s and close ratio 5 speed box, you wouldn't feel the loss like a stock T-5 w/ 2.73s or 3.08s guy would. Actually thinking about it i'd leave the intake till you do the heads and just put the T body...

Install intake/TB/MAF now or wait for heads and cam?

Hmm I take it you already have the Edelbrock RPM intake, 70mm T body and C&L 76 mm MAM? If I knew it were going to be a year... i'd probably not be able to help myself... and would end up putting all the stuff on. Even with stock heads the three things added all at once will probably give...

    What would you buy?

Either way you're going to have to do alot more to your fuel system. This is my guess... but.. 347 with the heads & intake you already have would probably be better off with 30 lb injectors, and a 255 fuel pump. A blower on your current setup, probably 36 or 42 lb injectors, and an inline fuel...

Remove the Dogbone with 2.73s..Is it safe??

Nope, it bolts to the differential casing... actaully the bolts run through the diff housing and theres a threaded bracket on the top side and then the dogbone on the bottom half... but it doesnt move at all.

what would cause this sudden over heating problem??

Yes my vote is T Stat. If were mine and everything is like you described, i'd limp it home. Don't let it get more than 220 though. Since there's no circulation in the cooling system [thats what it sounds like] Use the highest gear you can use - to keep the RPMS down low as you can. If she...

what would cause this sudden over heating problem??

Ok, whats the oil on the dipstick look like? A greyish beigish milkshake color? Or is it just normal oil color, but low? & how low? Remove your oil fill cap. Does it have any white milky gucky looking stuff on it and inside the tube? Or is it clean? If both are clean I still suspect...

what would cause this sudden over heating problem??

I usually just go to the local auto parts store and ask for a 180* stat for a 19XX 5.0 Stang. What I did do with mine though, was, theres a little check valve or whatever in the T stat... it's small and kinda wiggles back and forth. I pulled that out and just left the hole.

    Control Arms

Subscribing cause i'm in the ame boat as your buddy... I'm ready to buy my catted X pipe, and control arms now... can't decide which crtl arms are best without spending a ton. The Summitt Racing ones look like a pretty decent set actually.. Then in a few weeks/month tops, I buy...

what would cause this sudden over heating problem??

Long as you are close to home... and it doesnt get any hotter than that. First though, b4 you leave work, check your oil, and pop the cap off the rad while its cold... just to have a look. If you have a: "my milkshake brings all the mechanics to the yard... and there like... it needs a new...

Remove the Dogbone with 2.73s..Is it safe??

Right where the driveshaft bolts up to the pinion yoke on the rear. There should be a U shaped weight on the bottom side of the rear diff case. Theres two bolts that hold it on and have rubber damping in them. I ditched mine when I still had the 3.08s and still had the original stock...

what would cause this sudden over heating problem??

Your engine oil still look normal & clean? Maybe your thermostat kicked the bucket, try a new one and a new rad cap and see if that does it? It almost sounds as if the car just keeps heating up with little/no water circulation...

    Really bad fogging windows

http://pw1.netcom.com/~skent/mustang/1990/heater_core/hcore.html Thats the one I had saved in my favourites it still worked a second ago. If you have to drive the car bypass it cause it will only get messier and worse. Fog Spray wont work. Mines still bypassed after two years... I know I...

    Milling heads for more comp??

I'm going to go with a set of ported E7s soon. I'm thinking of having them milled .030" to add some extra compression and some extra HP... I'm told i'll have to shim up my rockers the same amount that I milled the heads. My question... since I have cut the heads down do I now have to...

    Equal Length headers

For a motor up to about 275 HP [at the flywheel] leave the stock headers there. Maybe take em off and hog out the welds or something, other than that on a stockish or mild bolt on engine you wont see much gain HP or TQ wise.
