    Torque Boxes... battle boxes.. questions.

I figured as much. What all is involved in installing them??? Can I bolt em in? Or do they have to be welded?

    Torque Boxes... battle boxes.. questions.

At what point are you stupid top not have some sort of reinforcement done to the lower and upper torque boxes? I am going to ASSume that that point is reached once slicks are used on the car? What if you were to have the stock boxes welded to the floor? Or.. Is it better to buy battle boxes...

    Spark Plugs

Myself I have always had good luck with the stock Motorcrafts... Tired Bosch Platinums once upon a time and it gave me an uncurable WOT miss at around 4500 RPMs.

New and first time dyno numbers...n/a and 100 shot...check it out

Nice numbers. I went from trapping 97 MPH to 110 MPH in October 2002 when I had my Zex kit. That was with the 100 shot. I sold the kit in spring 2003 but should have kept it... I'll likely get another one this year.

    373 vs stock gears launching

Yep, as long as i'm not on crummy pavement and its a nice road... the method stated above works well.. Sorta like taking off how you normally do from a light when it turns green, then once your off & rolling, it gets the full squash. :D

POLL: which weight oil do you all use???

Castrol GTX 10W30 NON synth... Also a 500 ml bottle of GM Engine oil supplement in every oil change. I swear by this stuff. Back in April of 1999 I when I had my T Type, I had a motor redone by a place in Toronto and on the way home in the T, it wiped the thrust bearing. The shop [their...

I have a BBk regulator and mine holds pressure for about 25 mins/half hour after shutdown, before it starts to bleed off... None of the little rubber O-rings/ or that oval rubber seal got ripped during the install? I hope the BBK regulators dont all suck... cause... I got one :(...

Help 1st trip to track! Ran 15's

What are you shifting at? What gears do you have now? Definitely should be MPH in the 96-100 MPH range for sure. 69 MPH in the 1/8th... if you have 2.73s that would mean you are just getting out of second gear around the 1/th mile?????? Or that you might be buzzing the car way to high with...

    IDLE?TPS?SURGEING

This is what I saved a while back... I think I found this on the Corral.... -------------------------- The "idle screw" that everyone is referring to is actually a throttle stop. It was never intended to be used to adjust the idle because the computer is designed to control the idle to a...

    IDLE?TPS?SURGEING

I keep my TPS set close where the factory had it.. I think its at about .87v now. I used to set it up in the high .90s I've heard if yer gonna do this not to go higher than .95 or so, otherwise the ECM thinks the throttle is open a tad and the IAC compensates and makes it idle high... my car...

12 Second Mustang thinking about NOS

You have a pretty stout, good running motor that is probably using up alot of them 24 lb injectors. Going back to 2002, I had a Zex kit before, and I really liked it BTW and would [likely will mid summer after Thumpers, B, and E-brock go on] buy another in a heart beat. I think even on my...

2 sec or less 0-60ft guys come in !

Completely stock suspension, front sway bar removed, still have the stock quad shocks. 26 x 8" M/T ET Drags, a crummy un prepped track surface [everyone complains about it - they never bother to clean or spray track traction compound down]. Best 60' so far is a 1.78 leaving at only about...

Power Steering Delete to Manual Rack

Years ago in a 1984 GT Turbo I had, I ditched the power steering, but kept the power rack. Instead of plugging any hoses or draining fluids out of the power rack, I simply just removed the PS pump & bracket, ran the two power steering hoses together.. I figured it was a good idea to keep some...

    Ignition Coil..MSD or other?

I've had two full ign kits on my car. First one was an Accel 300+ w/ the coil and the box was faulty and the car had a bad misfire I couldn't get rid of. Their coil HUMMED. So Summitt took the Accel stuff back, and in my letter I asked to exchange for an MSD 6AL, and the MSD TFI coil...

1992 lx loses power when power shifting in 2nd

Hmm.. My buddies 86 GT just had a similar problem and we tried wires, cap, rotor, plugs, coil, and ran it through all the tests on my Sunpro scantool to check for sensors... NOTHING. At first it was like your car, he could wail it in first, and then grab 2 and it would lay down and...
