    Camshaft Dowel?

    The short one is the one you need for '80-newer blocks. (Thanks to Rick) The needed short one is 1.125" or 1-1/8". (Thanks to Methodical) I read that some guys were able to get the old one's out and use them. If you end up needing a new one, I would call Comp or Crane.

    Went to a local cruise in today. Saw one of the coolest Stangs ever there. Was a Winter Blue '69 Mach1. :drool: OT, I had the LOUDEST vehicle there. Was in a truck that the exhaust came off of on the way there. 6.5 GM diesel = VERY loud with straight headers!

    Does sound a lil like a tranny problem. It is hard to tell. One of those things you have to tear apart seeing for yourself to diagnose. Good luck with it ... and be careful ... don't let the shop mess with you. BTW, your tranny should be a T-5.
