    I'd bet it is your cat back hitting your axle or another point of the suspension/ rearend. Happened on all 3 of my 2v cars.

    Gears, then the gas if you can get a good setup on the car. A 2v with only a set of gears, nitrous, exhaust and tires can surprise quite a few people.

    The LS1 will last as long as a 2v. Problem is, they usually don't because they are cheaper/easier to mod and people put twice the power they were designed for in them all the time.

    Thanks for your service! My brother was a Navy SWCC, now a Corpsman. Not sure what altitude you came from, but a custom dyno tune is a great idea if you came from around sea level up there. That's a big change in elevation, and will effect your A/F. Also, make sure you know the difference...
