    T5 Conversion Report

The Fidanza comes with 2 weights, so you can run it how ever you need it 0, 28, or 50 oz. It also has a replaceable friction surface, so instead of machining it when you change your clutch, you just swap it out and it is like new again. Mine is ballaced to 50oz as my engine is built from an...

    T5 Conversion Report

Perhaps I got lucky with the bleeding of the clutch, but when I did it I first gravity bled it, so just opened the bleeder until fluid started to drip out. Then I closed the bleeder. At that point I had my GF push the pedal to the floor. As she would press (slowly) I would open the bleeder...

    T5 Conversion Report

Didn't have to use the bellhousing adapter. I think you only need that for early 5 bolt blocks and 6 cyl. cars. If you have a 6 bolt block the late model 5.0 bell will bolt right up, no adapter required.

Have I installed the wrong Headers?

Glad you got it figured out. Headers always seem to be a problem for people, myself included. Sometimes wonder if they're worth the problems....ya, I guess they are:nice: Good luck.

    running water instead of antifreeze

FYI The heat of fusion for ethylene glycol is 43.26 calories per gram, or about half of that of water. So if you freeze a mixture of water and ethylene glycol, you will actually be storing less cooling energy than with pure water. The mixture may be colder, but it will adsorb less energy.

    running water instead of antifreeze

Why don't you register in a chemistry 101 class at your local J.C., because if you think anti freeze cools better than straight water you have been un/mis informed.

Have I installed the wrong Headers?

Is the flange covering the exhaust port from the bottom, or sides? You may have headers desiged for heads with raised exhaust ports???

    Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment

Mine is a JMC kit, so I'm sure it has matched MC and slave. Mine comes in about half way up as well. I'd Like it to come it about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up from the floor. I'm going to back off the fork and see if that helps, but like I said, I have a small amount of preload as it is. Maybe...

Might want to do some research.

    running water instead of antifreeze

Running straight water will reduce your running temp (which is why NASCAR's run straight water, it disburses heat faster than with antifreeze), but you obviously run the risk of freezing if it gets that cold where your at, which is real bad. In any case adding antifreeze will not hurt your...

    Maier Sub Frame Connectors

Well, I guess mine are right by the looks of things. They are as tight to the floor pans as they can be. Just didn't realize the size of these things. Very robust, guess that means they'll work as advertised. :nice: I can say that the little driving I've done so far I can tell a...

    Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment

I have minimal preload, I tightened it as much as I could with just finger pressure, no wrench. I'll try loosing it up until the T.O. bearing just starts to touch the diaphram and see what that does.

    Clearance Issues

There is always a chance it may interfere. No gurantees when you do a cam swap, but if I had to bet, you will not have any clearance issues with that cam and 165's. It is not the total lift that always gets you, it could be the duration, again don't think you'd have problems.

    Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment

Can someone tell me how to adjust my JME hydro. clutch. I want it to engage a little sooner than it is. It is brand new, just drove it for the first time today. It is starting to grab to late for my taste, want it to come in a bit sooner coming up from the floor. Thanks.
