Progress Thread Therapy Car-- Freshening Up the Lower Intake

I was talking in generalities. Every time I left an aluminum intake unfinished, it ended up dirty, fuel and oil stained in no time. you have the thing off. If you intend to have it powder coated later, painting it today won’t affect that process in anyway later, as they have to sandblast it...

    Engine 347 stroker vibration

Did he say he had a miss? he said he had a vibration. Theres a significant difference between a dead misfire and a rotational vibration…( like the word thud or thump versus buzz). I’m thinking he has a buzz instead of a thump.

Since i’m not really doing much of nothing here, that isn’t stopping me from planning/scheming what i want to do to the monster to keep pushing him out of the box. The overhead console is still on the to-do list when I get home. Re-doing the other hood, and putting a more aggressive hood scoop...

Off of the handgun topic…but staying on mobile carriers….. Im back in Puerto Vallarta. As soon as the plane hits the ground here, and I take the phone out of airplane mode, this pops up. Kates carrier is Verizon,…she says “ Mine doesn’t do that”…. I say, “I know.” We keep coming back to this...

New to me Fox body. Looking for Rough HP and compression ratio

No. You may as well make up a number. W/O knowing how much cylinder pressure is being allowed to escape based on valve timing relative to the camshaft specs ( which you also don’t know), anything you get from that is pure guesswork. (static) Compression Ratio is not an estimate. It is a VERY...

It was Ft. Sill. The guns they taught us to shoot there are way too big put in any holster;) JK. Naturally I went through the whole weapon familiarity training regimen that every soldier went through back then starting with the M1911/M16/M60/.50 cal/ Law, ending with the 40 mm grenade launch...

As always, I always appreciate the interaction as opposed to the alternative. I’ve never felt the need to own one up until recently. For all of the perceived threats that I can possibly imagine, none of them have loomed large enough to create a need big enough to invest in any gun. Part of my...

I do not intend to carry. Neither concealed or open. I only want this thing for the reason I bought it. And if the times were different, maybe I wouldn’t need to even entertain the notion of a “ what happens if” and felt the need to even buy one. If there is a better way to keep it in the car...

For the second time in my life last month, I had a “what if “ moment. Last month while driving through parts of Mississippi, cell phone coverage goes completely dark. You are 50 miles between bumfck, and nowhere. In a car that has way more than a few non-stock add-ons. None of which can be...

    Quad shock mounting location

why don’t you stick the rear end in place, and let the mounted control arms show you the way? I cant imagine how a stock length fox rear in that skinny car is going to afford you any tire clearance, unless the cars a lot wider in actuality. The control arm attachment points are relative only...

Well,….not as bad as that…but when you look at the paint “under” the quarter windows and it looks as good as it does yet I still am touching up a chip there, I have a much bigger problem with things that go wrong when the paint that is visible.
