Installed a new set of Corbeau seats, now i gotta pull 'em back out.

I'm using the actual Corbeau seat tracks, not the adapters. The problem isn't how far back the seats go, it's how high they sit. Firstly, they're too high for me. I need something lower than stock and these are just a tad higher. Secondly, i have long legs and my knees/thighs end up...

Kirkey has some damn nice seats, but not exactly what i'd want in a daily driver. ;)

Installed a new set of Corbeau seats, now i gotta pull 'em back out.

Sorry it took me so long to respond, guys. I spent the whole July 4th weekend working on the cars (and watching fireworks, of course). For those who are interested, the seats are black cloth. I don't have any pics, but there's a picture of them on the 50resto.com site. I've got someone...

Reminder: The SOVREN Vintage Races are this weekend at PR

I try to attend this every year. Races actually take place today as well, for those of you who have the day off. For the rest of us, there are practice sessions and races on both Saturday and Sunday. I think most people here will be most interested in the Trans-Am group which runs it's...

Make my own center console cupholder?

No, you've got the right one. It's longer than the stock part because it has to leave room at the front for the cupholder to hang down. There may be very little room between your e-brake handle and the arm rest, but it should not touch. If it does touch, you probably need to tighten up your...

Installed a new set of Corbeau seats, now i gotta pull 'em back out.

My '90 hatch had a full leather interior from a '96 Cobra up until last night. I wanted seats that were a little more supportive and that sat a bit lower. Ordered up a set of the Corbeau GTSII seats and brackets from 50resto. I got the seats and they were very comfortable during the try-out...

Make my own center console cupholder?

I've got the 50resto cup holder arm rest installed in one of my cars. It has it's good and bad points. It doesn't interfere with my e-brake at all. I don't see why it would unless your cable is really loose. It looks good and definitely does it's job. The only thing i don't like about it is...

    Should I switch to carb???

They got rid of carbs because of federally mandated laws. You can get nearly as good mileage from a carburetor and still pass a sniffer test (but not visual, obviously). You would NOT need a different fuel pump. PLENTY of cars out there use an electric fuel pump with a carb. (edit: you'd need...

    Mileage?

I get about 12-14mpg in town and 22+ on the highway. My auto gets better hwy mileage (3.27's) and my stick gets better in town (3.55's). My suggestions for mileage would be free-flowing exhaust and intake, electric fan, underdrive pulleys, etc. Don't overlook general maintenence items like...

    Question about high flow cats.

But you're comparing old, high mileage stock cats to no cats. He's talking about the difference between a brand new catless H-pipe and a brand new H-pipe with high-flow cats. Big difference. I'd be willing to bet that the high flow cats wouldn't give you much of a horsepower loss at all.

New rims installed(few pics), lowering tonight

Gorgeous. Those are the wheels i want to get for my '90 hatch, but i'd have to get them custom sized and it would be more than i want to spend. :(

    MUST GO!!!!!!

I wouldn't say everyone can sell easily. I've had my '92 LX for sale since last November. It's in local classifieds and on Auto Trader. I'm going to put it up for sale at the Mustang Roundup next month. If it doesn't sell then, it's going on eBay.

Sorry. They generally have a 30 ton weight limit. :rlaugh:

    car weight?

This figure seems very low unless you're talking about a no-option coupe. Vehicle weight will depend on a lot of factors such as hatch/notch, options (leather, A/C, and power options add weight), any added components such as stereo equipment or sound deadening, etc. If you want the weight...

    Best 5.0 to mod?

I'm going to go against the grain and say that the '84-85 is the best year. And here are the reasons why: Those cars are carbureted, which means they're cheaper to modify and they have less computer controlled crap. Those cars are also 20 years old (or very close for the '85) which means they...

Failed Emmissions... Very Badly - Help!

Excess carbon monoxide is caused by running too rich (not enough oxygen to burn all the fuel). Likewise, hydrocarbons are unburned fuel and fuel/oil vapors. Looks like your car is running way, way too rich. I'd definitely get a new distributor cap and rotor, check your plug wires, replace...

Installing BBK Equals, BBK X, and Amercian Thunder

Plan to run into problems installing the headers. I don't think a single person on this site that's installed equal length shorties has done it without a lot of cursing and busted knuckles. Probably not worth it for the very slight hp advantage equals offer over unequals.

DON'T BUY GAS ON MAY 19TH!!!!

Um, no. I'm certainly no fan of Bush, but he's not to blame here. The price of raw crude oil has risen. The demand for crude oil (and gasoline) has risen. The supply of crude oil has dropped. That means that the price of gasoline goes up. It has nothing to do with Bush or Greenspan. No...
