    Cam Installation Questions...

You definitely want to check your camshaft endplay. Too much or none will either take out your distributor gear or drive gear on the camshaft. You will be very happy spending the effort and time degreeing in the cam. I can almost guarantee you it will be out by +/- 3 to 6*. You have to...

    Another clutch Q

I have always had very good results with the full disc type clutch setup. I've almost always owned a car which I drove to the track and ET bracket raced, so I know from experience they are consistant and have a low failure rate. I have friends and opponents and friends who are opponents who've...

    Another clutch Q

One reason I read and post here, are to challenge those who give bad/incorrect/misinformation. There's always someone who will know more than I, and in those cases... I listen, I learn. There's a lot of people here who should do more listening IMO. Another reason I read and post here are the...

    Another clutch Q

The subject isn't whether "you" like it or not.:D My take on what Drew's looking for is information on other clutches and how they perform and feel. The advantages of what each offer and why. And on how many clutches you've run is moot. I can make one clutch feel like 5 different ones and...

    Another clutch Q

I forgot Spec made the "puck" style stage3 hub. I have used the disc style, and I don't know if the pressure plates are the same between "stages". It's always best to ask the manufacturer the specifics IMO. In your application, a "puck" style will work well. If you step it up on the torque...

    Another clutch Q

I suggested the Spec3 due to your mention of a small shot of "smack". 1st and 2nd are okay with that, but 3rd you start to lose your torque advantage due to gearing. IMO the Spec3 has a light pedal feel, and clamping force should keep the slippage low and not overheat/fade.

347 stroker combo... good or bad???

So, when does the transmission come in to play?

    Another clutch Q

My choice would be the Spec series clutches. I suggest a Spec 3, but in your best interest I would call them up and ask for their suggestions also. I have run them in the past with great success, and will again in the near future.

where does this wire connector go???

Okay, I just remembered something else. Check the connectors for your heat/air control. I'm pretty sure those pins are round too.

where does this wire connector go???

Do you have that electronic box thing at the top, center of the dash? Mine did, and they had round connectors going into it.

Need help after Head and Intake Swap.

Because the heads are new to the setup as well as the rockers, I suggest you check your pushrod length for correct alignment of rocker tips to valve stems. If pushrods are not the correct length, you will have similar symptoms.

Need help after Head and Intake Swap.

What did you install that is new to the setup? If I read your post correctly... heads, intake and rockers are new to the setup? What year bottom end also?

    Rear axle refresh questions

You don't. just leave it open and clean everything. Glass bead blasting is the quickest, easiest method to do the outside of the assembly. There are many sites with instructions how to tear-down the housing, and yes, it's quite simple. In a hand basket; remove the center pin pull the...

Can you use a truck diff in a mustang fox?

I believe the tubes are larger in diameter, and the length will be slightly wider than a mustang's. My mustang had the dampers, if yours does also, you'll have to find some brackets to install on the truck housing or just not use them.

Crazy 408 in the works....Compression Ratio question

No attack or ill-feelings inferred nor expressed Walz, just wanted some expansion on your version and insight to the OPs post. I admit I haven't "done it all" nor claim to... but I have tinkered a ton in this field. I receive great tech advice and knowledge from my camshaft maker, and...
