2004 navigator swap in 98 gt

That must have taken some serious modification to get that to fit.

    Another Intake Victim

I think MMR makes an adapter for the stock plenum (and TB) to fit under a stock hood. It's about $60, if I recall. However, you still need the Edelbrock fuel lines or just need to modify the factory lines, which I've heard isn't that hard. If I popped my intake again, I'd go Edelbrock. I...

    Rear Seat Delete Question

Yeah... I'm thinking the floor pan qualifies as a metal plate.

Will a little too much oil hurt anything?

Nice thing with these engines is, the crank doesn't dip into the oil pan. There was an article or write up saying that the pan would hold somewhere around 9 quarts at full capacity and technically the crank wouldn't touch it. However, that doesn't account for the oil sloshing around and onto...

    Another Intake Victim

People have used epoxy but it doesn't seem to be a long standing repair. Too much pressure and heat to keep it from ruining the epoxy. What's wrong with the Edelbrock intake? Spray didn't cause my intake to originally fail.

SVE black Drift wheels on my silver GT

I love this thread. Those look awesome. I get excited at the thought of bronze SVE Drifts on my GT. Hint hint LMR... lol.

    1996 mustang GT Nitrous questions

You can't correct your speedo with a flash tuner since your '96 uses a mechanical speedometer drive and not electronic.

    1996 mustang GT Nitrous questions

Total waste of $. I wouldn't bother with headers at all if you're going with nitrous. I would do headers if you ever did a PI swap or put ported heads/cams on the car. Without that, you're pouring money into a wheezing NPI engine. lol.

    1996 mustang GT Nitrous questions

Correct. I'd skip the longtubes if you're going with nitrous.

    Getting another car...can't decide which...

I've seen 2011 GT's going for 26-27k on Autotrader - from a dealership. Not tons of options, but all have been manual trans. cars. Between the two, I'd definitely go 2010 GT. Awesome styling, and the 3v has potential once you start modding. It sure responds better than a 2v and there are quite...

    1996 mustang GT Nitrous questions

How big of a shot do you want to spray and how often? ZEX is fine, a lot of people use them. I went with a plate-style kit on my car because I didn't want to tap into my intake. You can run up to a 100 shot pretty safely on a stock fuel pump and injectors assuming they are working properly...

    Looking to lower the rear

You could always get adjustable lower control arms. I have J&M's on my 'Stang and it's always been easy to adjust rear ride height.

    Tire and wheel help

I'd axe the 20's. Too big for these cars and kills performance from every aspect as mentioned by vertigasen. You won't like the price of tires either, and they'll probably be more expensive for the 19's.

    Who's Changed Their Head Gaskets?

Check your intake manifold first. They are prone to popping at the coolant crossover (the very front runner). May not be it seeing as that cap on the reservoir popped, but it's a good starting point. Unfortunately doing the head gaskets on these cars is a pretty big task because you're...
