    Alaska always gets the shaft

Really, just leave the cats alone. I rode my scoot' to Soldotna and back last summer. It was incredible! I know AK only has like 250,000 folks up there, and the snow machines/four wheelers probably pollute something awful, but you really should do the right thing. AK is beautiful. I sure...

    boost and traction

Well, if I remember right, and you probably already know, trac control cuts the fuel. this could lead to a lean condition that is BAD for boost. Detonation...holes in those marvelous hyperpathetic pistons...broken rings...an unwanted "PVC" valve... With motorcycles, if they are running...

Definitely check out www.mustangexhaust.com. Takes a few minutes to register, but has all kindsa combos to listen to. Magnaflows are probably the cheapest stainless catbacks. But WARNING, The price will go up by the end of the month! I just ordered some magna flows from...

just ordered triax need some help

I used a good ol'fashioned claw hammer to pop the shifter off the tranny. You'll have to move it around until you find a good pry point and pivot point. (someone else on the forum mentioned this trick). I didn't have to crawl underneath or anything. Tremec thinks the stops should be removed...

Yes, you know you want it. Another subframe connector question!

I'll be getting full-length subs for my vert soon and have a question. Has anyone ever actually bent one by jacking up the car? I plan on getting a Evolution Motorsport set with the X brace. They are pricy though, and would like to save some coin by not getting or fabing up some jacking...

Did you remove the plastic "saran wrap" from the filter after removing it from the box?:p My last K&N filter (for a motorcycle) was wrapped in clear plastic... The damn thing wouldn't run until I pulled the plastic off!! :jester:

    Moisture in Oil System

Humidity changes and weather changes can cause some condensation. It depends on the amount of "cream" you found. Hear in Tejas, It decided to become winter, AND "come a turdfloater" (rain alot) all in the same week. Be on the look out for progressive power loss, and overheating-signs of...

Questions from gearhead that is new to Modular

For the traction control switch there are two options. 1. There is a thread here somewhere that gives a schematic to bypass it yourself. 2. There is a thread that gives the website for a company that makes a box that you wire-in. Use the search function and you shouldn't have too much...

    Gt 2v To Mach 1 4v

The instrument cluster is neat IMO. The bezel, which is a separate part I think, is gray. I think the gray bezel would match the center gray portion around the radio, shifter on your gt. You could switch the cluster and the bezel or one or the other.

best trannie for a manual 500-600 lbstq stang?

I think some t-56s are rated for higher torque, like the tranny in the Viper for example. Besides cost, t-56 are heavy too. If I remember correctly they weigh like 100lbs more that a t-5. I would be considering a tko like neoclas suggested. Of course if I suddenly found myself suffering...

what is the best way to fix a key scratch?

Warning! I had a body shop try to buff out a scratch instead of repainting as I requested. They "spiralled" the clear coat big time and tried to pass it off as satisfactory. I hate it when others will accept nothing less than me being a Prick! If you decide to let someone buff it...

What do U think i should do w/ this engine?

So...obvious question, Why didn't you just fix/upgrade the original motor? I got a flat tire on my car, and you know what? I didn't think I needed to replace the rims, brakes, and rear end. Seriously. Do you turn your own wrenches?
