    Howling noise when in reverse???

Generally tranny's use straight-cut gears for the reverse. Straight-cut gears are cheaper to make, but are noisy, esp. at higher rpms. This noise is exacerbated when the gears and fluid are cold. The old-school GM big block musclecars sometimes had the Muncie "rock crusher" 4spd that was...

Are there any verts with bullitt suspension?

I'm thinking about putting a bullitt suspension kit in my 03 gt vert. I know verts generally have a higher spring rate that hard tops. Will the bullitt rear springs have a high enough rate for me? I know they are 3/4 to 1 inch lower, which I so disperately want, but it's the stiffness...

    Steeda Tri Ax install

There is essentially no gear noise with a pro 5.0. Got mine last week from Kona racing with a steel handle shaped like the triax handle. I wrote a thread about it a few days ago. Search this forum for kona racing. So far it's been a great combo!

Am I the only one with a Pony stitched on the front seats? Ford seems to think so....

Ok. Time to troubleshoot. 1. Did they talk while exhaling as little as possible? 2. Did you hear soft perculating sounds in the back room before they came to the front? 3. Were their eyes blood-shot? 4. Did they giggle inappropriately? 5. Did they search frantically under you...

    pro 5.0 from kona racing

Well, I got a pro 5.0 from Kona Racing last weekend. Kona racing makes steel shifter handles for pro 5.0s that look like tri-ax handles. Pretty sweet, I'll tell you what! Brief summary: Kona Racing- * Seems to be a mom and pop/backyard shop-type of business. They make steel shifter...

Where can I find tinted or smoked tail light lenses?

Where can I find smoked or tinted tail lights? I've seen them on a few cars in magazines, and I think they would look great on my dark shadow grey gt vert. Any pics would be great too. Thanks in advance!

    Shifters!

My only experience with B&M was a Ripper I installed back in '96 on a formula fireturd with a t-56 6 speed. It was a very well-built shifter. Installed easily, and withstood many a high-speed neanderthal shift w/o complications. Transmitted a very faint gear noise, bearly audible. It shortened...

All these bolt ons and only 207rwhp!! HELP ME :(

I'd go back to the basics. FUEL-does your model have a returnless fuel pump? If not, consider checking the fuel pressure regulator. Check the fuel filter and pump too. AIR-Check for leaks past the meter. Check for any kinks or obstructions in any and all air and vacuum lines...

Thread highjack- I found this button on the inside of my door, not the outside, just the inside. When I push it sometimes the window goes down and sometimes it goes up. Scares the crap out of me! So my question is, does the same button control the up AND down motion of the window? :p

    Driving a stick...

Jim's directions for heel-toe downshifts. I find the mid point on the floor between the brake and gas, and put my right heel there. When I'm gassing, I flop my right foot over to the right w/o lifting my heel from the floor. When I brake, I let off the gas, and straighten my right foot...
