Nick's "lvndpst" Restoration (and Slight Modification) Thread

Didn't plan to, but I always blend the intake ports to the heads if need be, and take welding flash off the insides of header openings, etc. Just for smooth transitions. We'll see how well they all match up when I get to that point. Otherwise no. It not a race car, so whatever it makes for...

How Much Did You Drive Your Car Last Year?

Roughly 10-15 miles prior to thinking I'd perform a simple cam swap. One discovery of a spun cam bearing later, she sits collecting dust as I collect parts. Hopefully 2023 is a better year for her.

Nick's "lvndpst" Restoration (and Slight Modification) Thread

Little by little, I am getting closer to having some progress to post about. My heads came today, so that got me excited. As of now I have everything I need for the engine build, except my cam from Ed. Also standing by is the Tremec TKX with it's needed supporting parts, as well as hardened...

I'm amazed how fast they are coming. I've mistakenly bought sht online from Taiwan that took like 8 weeks to arrive.

I just can't leave anything alone, is my problem. Hence why I sold the Scat Pack. This is my truck with the 3" lift. I've since gone to a 6", but don't have any pics on my phone. 22x12s on a 1500 with 35s. These were the old cheap tires that never balanced out though.

That poor thing would only last a couple winters up here. That's why I couldn't take ruining the F250 I had picked up. Looks like a nice little truck.

I agree with the others. What's the use in having them not to have them in the car for the style and function? You can always recover them again if you mess them up, right? ;)

Whatever you do, don't go to 22's. I just put Toyo Open Country AT3 in a 35x12.5R22 and it was $3200. They better last the rest of my life. Haven't priced out 18s for my fox yet, but I'm planning on Toyo R888s or whatever the latest model is. They were tits on my 2011. Love the pic with your...

LESS THAN 9.5 MPG CITY DRIVING!!!

I think your car needs a tune, the MAF cleaned, new 02 sensors, or all three. Your combo should not be netting you carbed big block drag car fuel economy.

PS, in October I caved in and bought some SVE Series 3s for my car, or else I would have already asked you to box your wheels up and mail them to me.

I honestly think a part of it is the fact you live in an area known for high stakes racing where money gets thrown around differently. A 351W isn't what it used to be, as twin turbo coyotes are the norm now. People in your area are buying drag wheels for street cars, or BCs like you. Budget...

If you think it's your balancer, and you're running a stock one, I have a new Pioneer SFI balancer that I bought a few years ago and never used. It's sitting in my garage in the box, and you can have it for the cost of shipping. I have no use for it.

Interior and Upholstery Heater box cover kit

The door handles havent quite set in with me yet. They're just flat metal, no shape at all. It works, but I like the feel of a bit of a lip underneath. I think they could have the flat surface with a bit of shape underneath for your fingers to "grab."
