    from what I hear, the float mechanism in the mustang is too sensitive. If you don't have a pefect 50/50 water to coolant ratio it will not float properly. I am debating to just pull the bulb.

    as long as you have the same tread on the same axle you're ok. In snow, I would reccomend all the same tread (ideally winter tires)

This kind of test would have to be performed at least 10 times to get any remotely valid statistical and qualatative data...
