How Much To Paint Stripes On 67 Clone

I'm having my 66 painted now. Added lemans was $800 - sounded like the same process Zookeeper is doing. $800 I think was a little stiff. $500 for labor and material spunds about right. I think they were trying to recoup some money on underestmating the car.

    1965 Leaf Spring Removal

normally I'd start #3 first but you may want to hold off - big cut off blade on angle grinder is not the most stable feeling tool.

1966 Mustang Welding. Which Welder Would You Recommend?

I've got a lincoln 135 and used it for the whole car. Like it a lot. I've also heard some positives on Eastwood welder if looking for a lower price alternative.

    Crooked Stripes

Sorry to hear that. Keep your chin up and don't let this get you too down. I know how exciting it is to send a car off to paint. Situation must be a big disappointment. Just have to keep moving forward and chalk up to lesson learned - good luck in court.

    Crooked Stripes

65Rob said: ↑ Have him fix it the way he's willing and see what it looks like, won't cost anything other than the tow which you appear to be stuck with if you want to go that route. If it looks good at least you can enjoy it for now, if the stripes bleed through later you're no further behind...

    Crooked Stripes

Does not seem like a bad price for all that was done but wonder how the quality of the other work was. In any case, interesting thread to me since I'm having a 66 painted now that I'm having lemans stripes added. I would let them fix whatever way they think is appropriate - i've seen stuff...

Ive got a Ford Strokers 347 in my 70 very happy with it - great engine, quality parts, and excellent customer service. I have a 66 I'm building now that I don't have the same "need for speed" and seriously considering the ford racing 306. Matter of fact I talked to Ford Strokers about building...

TMI seat foam install in a '67 ???

Looks good. Glad to hear it came out okay. I used sports seat foam and new vinyl on my 1970 - had professionally done and have some serious wrinkles enough that on my 66 vert project I was considering going another route.
