    electrical problem

Arent the single wire alternators internally regulated? Could be a fuel problem... Id put in one of those cheap glass filters to see if it's getting dirty. My car did the same thing a long time ago and it was becasue all the sediment would get sucked into the filter at idle but at a high idle...

    Good price on roof replacement?

doesnt sound to bad...does it include mud work and primer? Where is the roof being cut? If the donor roof was cut below welds, it is pretty easy and wont take nearly as long. I had a 69 fastback roof replaced (cut below the welds) and it cost me $800. Average bodywork is $40/hr around here.

Is there an EFI tank for '66?

I figured id put in my $.02 Check with some local marine (boat) shops. Many of them fabricate custom fuel cells ( or can send you in the right direction. They usually charge $16-20/gal, depending on the complexity. These tanks are simple bricks with a pump...they shouldnt have a problem. They...

Can someone snap a picture for me?

I bought a project car years ago and now I cant remember how the weatherstripping/moulding goes on a 65-66 coupe. Looking for a picture of the trim right around the window/roof line. THANKS Here is an old picture...it sits just about the same way it did when I took the picture. Finally...

    Just starting out.

Id have it media blasted first to really see the damage. Most people recommend an epoxy primer over all the good metal and then start cutting/welding. oh yeah...new floor pans are pretty cheap...especially if they are just sections. Id buy new ones unless that other car is scrap. Way to much...

69 Mach 1 repop ABS quarter panel trim panels are crap!

It will take more than one coat for sure. When you to a overlay all the resin falls to the bottom and out off the fiber leaving a rough texture. If they are ugly..just bondo it like you would a car. Your body guy should be a pro with that :nice:

69 Mach 1 repop ABS quarter panel trim panels are crap!

It will work...Id do some test pieces if you have never done it before. Wet layups are hard on a complex piece like that. If you have never done it before, Id get a piece of glass big as the carbon fabric you are going to use and impregnate the material with the resin, lay it over and really...

69 Mach 1 repop ABS quarter panel trim panels are crap!

do you know some good carbon fiber guys? Wet layups on a compound cure panel are kinda complicated. You will probably want to vacuum bag it to get a nice smooth layup. The ideal thing to do is make a buck mold and repop them like the ABS/fiberglass ones on the market. If you do, let me...

    ez2wire harness installation

I read not to long ago about just buying EZ's ignition switch and headlight switch. Both are GM based but man the plug and play with those make it really nice. If I were to do it again, that is what I would do. Buy new headlight pigtails from your local NAPA, Pep Boys, etc...

    Modular motor or rebuild

the modular swap is going to be a PITA because of the wiring. Its not the same as the mustangs. Unless you are really good with electrical wiring diagrams and love wiring, its not worth messing with.

Fuel line or brake lines first?

doesnt really matter. I personally do the stuff I hate last... IE brakes :D
