    What springs to use???????

The Ford "B" springs DO look like a good choice. I'd like a little more drop than shown in the chart but since my car is a convertible, I assume it will drop a little more because of the extra weight. Spring rates look good, and I WAS looking for a variable rate spring too. So what's the best...

    Hurst Shifter...

Hurst is now owned by B&M and I recently had a hard time finding anyone who would even order a Hurst shifter. Hell, even their online catalog is down. I talked to a couple guys I know at a local speed shop and they told me the B&M was a better shifter anyways, so that's what I got last week...

    What springs to use???????

Okay, I want to lower the car for sure, but I don't want the car to ride rough (I'm 48 and like a smooth ride). Any thoughts?

    shaker?

This is one of my future mods as well. I intend to install a Mach 1 shaker and hood on my GT. Not expecting any power gains, I just can't live with a fake scoop!

    B&M Ripper installed, BIG difference

I'll get some later today but to be honest, it really just looks stock but shorter. You may not be able to even notice a difference in a picture.

    B&M Ripper installed, BIG difference

All I can say is WOW! Didn't think it would be THAT big of a difference. Took me a little while to get used to shifting it after the install. Much shorter shifter and much shorter throws both add up to retraining the brain. Not totally sure I like the additional reach for the shifter but we'll...

    4:10's on the highway??

If you intend to go with forced induction, 4.10's are un-necessary. The higher the engine's power level, the less need you have for short gears IMO, especially in a street car.

Also, don't forget you'll see a much more noticable difference on a car with an auto trans than a stick.

    I think im being scammed.

That's a VERY common scam. Ignore it. Matter of fact, make sure to report the guy to Ebay too.

    I want flames!!!!

There's plenty of kits out there but they only work in non-catalytic converter cars. They work by igniting unburt HC in the exhaust stream.

    Police Interceptor Engines

Crown Vic police cars = SLOW Hemi Charger police cars = FAST Mercury Marauder = Nice car, fairly fast, lame bottom end power but easily modable. '94-'96 LT1-powered GM cars (like my Cadillac FTS) = FAST, SMOOTH, very modable.

    To the Tech Gods

I'd like to know WHY you want to rev it that high? You're WELL past your max power, so what would be the point of revving so high?

    Finding a vac leak?

Yes, some brake cleaners are non-flammable. Chlorinated CRC for instance (the old red cans) will not burn, while the newer non-chlorinated stuff (green can I think) is quite flammable. So you need to be careful.

    Feeling unwanted. ;)

Yeah, kind of figured that was (by default) where my gen. car fell. Was just wondering why it's set up that way. What about the Centennial Edition? Any reason why you don't include it in the "Special Production" forum? Again, just curious.
