    Borla Exhaust...(unhappy buyer)

Magnaflow and Borla certainly will flow more than Flowmaster 40s. But I was willing to trade a little flow for sound that was ruthless and full of rage.

Shift kit vs programmer's shift firm tune? Which is better?

I don't have any experience with mechanical shift kits. However, with "electronic" shift kits, my experience is that I don't see any further need for harder, faster, or firmer shifts.

Hand held tuner vs. Timing adjuster

I am very happy with the Diablo Predator Programmer. The tuning flexibility is excellent. I would highly recommend this product over other chips, tuners, and timing adjusters.

whistle on newly installed accufab tb?

I installed the Accufab 70mm TB / plenum last Saturday. The gains are very good from 3000 to 5800 rpm. And, just like many others, I get the whining and whistling above 5500 rpm. At first, I thought the bearings on the water pump were shot. But searching this site, I found out it was just...

For those with AUTO and NEW Gears...

I had trouble hooking off the line even with stock gears and, of course, it is more difficult with the 4.10 gears. With the mods listed in my sig, I can easily spin all the way through 1st if I am not careful. I am going to install some Nitto 555R 245/45/17 in the rear to help with this...

Gains from C&L Plenum and 70mm TB

Yeah, read the reports on modular depot linked by twogts4us; they are very informative. I just installed the Accufab 70mm TB/plenum and the torque gains are very good over entire rpm range. However, be prepared for some high pitched TB whistle at WOT near redline.

    cold air intake

I also like the Steeda - I think it is about the best of the current 2V GT CAI. The K&N FIPK is also good, but I think the heat shield could be better. I liked the Densecharger on my six. But for the money, maybe just get a K&N air filter and pursue other mods.

Good Mustang Shops In Los Angeles Area, And Rim Question

Welcome to California. I definitely recommend XMP in Aliso Viejo. They do great work and will treat you well. And they are well qualified for all of the current Mustang mods (e.g. blowers, engine rebuilds, TB / plenums, exhaust, gears, CAI, chips / tuning, suspension, and so on).
