    Typically that means a Pats issue. You can youtube some reset deals but usually it means the key is dead or the module itself is a problem. (Or wiring issue etc).

    Which 4.6 cobra motor? There is a huge difference between them. 96-98, 00/01, and 03-04 are all hugely different animals. Judging by the price it's likely not an 03/04. Still matters. Got pics or more info? EDIT - I failed to read AND comprehend the title. :D

    What ended up being the issue on the plugs? Spliced harnesses can be a pain to trouble shoot.

    What year car? 94-95 and 96-97 will be similar to each other while 98 had a lot of odd changes (no idea how that reflects to door plugs etc). I don't think it should matter v6 or v8 cars though.

    You snapped the bolt on the new tensioner or the one you're trying to remove? FWIW, I've mounted/unmounted tensioners a billion times with the same bolts, never an issue (well aside from prochargers belt force snapping entire tensioners off haha).

    If having to stay 2v look for a 96-98 lower end NPI engine and mate with 02-04 PI heads/cams. That will be best bang for buck using stock 2v parts. You don't need the strength of the 4v bottom end with a stock 2v setup. You want the flat top pistons of the 2v NPI engine vs the dished 03/04...

    I've done this swap, twice. Drill and tap the metal crossover, IIRC there is a flat spot on it that will allow you to tap for the second sensor.
