    Has anyone ever gutted the bumper on a 73 mustang? I was looking at mine and its at least 100lbs of rusty looking steel under the rubber cover. I seen one place makes a fiberglass model which saves like 80lbs. IM wondering if i can just cut it down alot. It be nice to shave 70lbs or so off...

    Pulling FMX tranny linkage?

    Does anyone know how the linkage unhooks from the tranny itself? It doesn't appear to be a bolt or screw, looks like a rivet? Also the wire that goes from the shifter to the transmission does that pull out like a plug? Thanks, Jim

    IM building up my 351c with 4bbl heads and want to go to a pretty wild yet streeable cam, probally a bigger x-treme energy cam, something that will still leave me enough vacumn for power brakes but give me lots of power. I was wondering what stall speed I should go with, would 2800 be fine...

    73 Mach1 smog removal

    Are there many smog hoses on the 73'? Mine came with a 1972 351c in it, it's a 73' car, most of the hoses were vacumn hoses for the different gadgets. One thing for sure there wont be any smog stuff left on it after the rebuild. :D Jim

    You will NEVER get 400HP with 1000 dollars on a v6 mustang, it would be very difficult even with a supercharger which is about $2k on a 94-98 mustang your only looking at maybe 240HP. If your looking for 250HP then you could probally do that with 1k. Adding nitrous would help but I dont like...

    Found the coolant leak I think.

    Do you add the bars leak stuff into the coolant and let it seal? I had stuff before you added to the coolant to plug a leak. Is it harmful to the engine, will it clog anything else up? Thanks, Jim

    Went under the car today my POS 1994 v6 mustang and see coolant leaking out of what appears to be the timing cover right behind the waterpump, or whatever cover the waterpump mounts onto. Is it possible for coolant to leak out of here? This sucs I was just starting to make progress on the Mach 1...

    Got an engine lift/stand today....

    Thanks for the reply's I just removed the top end stuff so far still have to remove the tranny cooling lines, linkage, engine and tranny mount. Hopefully I can do this Sunday and pull the engine. Thanks, Jim
