Bellhousing, RAD 4-speed to 305 Help.

all 260, 289, 302, 351 based small blocks will accept the stock bell from a v-8 4-speed mustang II. keep in mind the v-8 4-speed bell is specific to mustang II. there may be others that can be massaged but i am not aware of one. the t-5 bell would be an option only if you were going to a 5...

    t-5 conversion help?..........please?

dynomax headers differ from the more common hedman headers with the number one tube following the other three down and over the engine mount. the hedman's number one tube goes straight down then 90 degrees under the front cross member. they have not been made for a number of years but do show up...

    Traction Bars

there is a pic of the ssm bars on my king in the wheel / tire thread. about half way down in the first page. i don't see how they would interfere with the wheel tire package you are running since the mount directly under the leaf spring.

stock 8" and rear end gears?

stumpys sub conn are just like a set of custom made conn. they fit very tight to the floor. bolt to the rear spring perch and fit over the top of the front rail giving you more area to weld up. i removed my ssm conn and will be installing stumpys in a few weeks. he sells them as weld in or...

    Padded Cargo panels

my 78 mach and my king have a removable 6" x 6" panel on both sides near the rear. very close to where the rear trim panel that covers the tail lights meets the side panels. i had a set of speakers in the ones on the mach. i have only owned 78's so i am not sure if they are on all of the II's.

i did come across a set of drilled and slotted rotors for the II but they are a little pricey. $153.00 for thru drill and slots & $193.00 for the dimpled and slots. www.brakeperformance.com i ran the dimpled ones and their pads on my 03 sport trac. i have them on my 04 sport trac work...

    does it exist

appreciate the offer but i should be good to go. i had a second short block. has a little more compression but shouldn't be a problem with the aluminum heads. we fired it up on a test stand without any problems. time will tell once i get the t-5 back in and everything else buttoned up. didn't...

in need of a Mustang 78 king cobra

yes i am running the t-5. i had a small leak at the bearing retainer, when i pulled the tranny i was not real happy with the wear on the input shaft, so i had a new pilot bearing machined up based on the demensions on the .net site. i did have them make it slightly shorter since my t-5 is a...

    show off your .................. gauges

i guess inaccurate is not the best of terms when comparing guages that have numbers intead of a hot/cold type sweep. the only one i could compare is the tachs and the new reads about 400 rpm higher. i also borrowed a monster tach from a friend to confirm the higher reading. keep in mind...
