2011- Current V6 Mustang Good First Car?

The snow tires are Blizzaks, I'd have to double-check the model, 245/55/18 on the stock rims. Here in Ohio there aren't hills like I had in Pittsburgh growing up, but they do well on the corners. I do know how to drive in the snow, too. If I just sit and relax in the back it's fine, but if I...

Help With Removing Gt Trunk Emblem 2013

Yes there is. Do a search for "faux gas cap" and one of the threads you'll find is mine, with pictures! :)

2011- Current V6 Mustang Good First Car?

Go for another test drive with the Mustang, and take two people with you who are likely to be riding back there. ;) I'm 5'10", and I've sat in my back seats to try them out. They're pretty comfortable, imo, but the foot room can get tight. Getting in and out of them is the tricky part! I also...

    Dyno'd My 2012 Gt

The main thing is: was your fuel tank almost empty when you put the 93 in? Otherwise you had a mix of 87+93. ;)

    Dyno'd My 2012 Gt

Are you sure the second run was on all-93 octane? I'm not sure how you did that, overnight. I would want to allow for several days to a week between runs, to make sure the engine is fully "set" for 93 oct. FWIW, those numbers are almost exactly what I got with a dyno. on my car, too. ;)

    Fng From S.jersey Area.

Welcome to the forum. :) Speaking of Mopars, I traded in a 2007 Dodge Charger, V6/AWD on this car. Have you ever done any track days at NJMP? I've been there 3 times, lotsa fun! Of course, you wouldn't be doing track days in a 'vert, but other cars?

Autocross And Trackdays In The Future.

Keep an eye on the track schedules for NJMP. Pretty much any club will let you join in for a track day. BMW and Porsche Clubs of America (PCA) are usually pretty open to "other" cars. They're happy to get the money and another satisfied customer! For my "home track" of Mid Ohio, I usually go to...

Can A Lady Get An Opinion? (13 Gt Exhaust)

I noticed with mine that it sounds better after about 2000 miles or so. I like the sound of the GT500 mufflers, but I can't justify $300 + install for just noise (no real HP gain), when I'm saving up for new wheels + tires! (Wide, sticky tires for track day fun!) ;) Enjoy your new car!

    Tune

BE CAREFUL WITH THAT! I have known folks who had a tune on their cars, who took them to the dealer for regular maintenance. The service mangler comes out and says, "Oh, there was a program update for your PCM, so we loaded that for you. (smiling)" Now your tune is toast, the car might not run...

Autocross And Trackdays In The Future.

Hmmm... from Norfolk, it looks like VIR, Summit Point and NJMP are all roughly the same distance from you. Far away. I've driven to NJMP twice, and it is worth the trip if you get in with a good group. They have 2 tracks there, I prefer Thunderbolt but Lightning is fun, too, and probably...

Autocross And Trackdays In The Future.

I've had mine out on the road course twice, but it is still all-stock (except for a Steeda tune). Since the stock all-season tires are not very wide nor sticky, I couldn't corner or brake like I really wanted to. It was still a lot of fun, the car handled great for the little bit I was pushing...

    Sumitomo Htrziii Directional?

The markings on the tire are there for a reason. ;) For example, the Dunlop Star Spec's are Directional, and have an arrow pointing in the proper direction of rotation on the sidewalls. From TR's website: "The Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tread compound is molded into a directional design...

    Nitto 555dr For Non-track Use?

How about the "standard" 555's?

    Sumitomo Htrziii Directional?

They are Asymmetrical, but not directional. The inner and outer shoulder design is different, and much more important that the tread pattern. I used these for my "track tires" on my last car and liked them very much! I did a track day at NJMP on Thunderbolt in the rain, and they worked...

    Check This B.s. Out!

My friends from the ChryCo. world would occasionally find one of "our" cars for sale on Ebay or CL. It happens a few times per year. Yet another douchebag trying to scam someone out of their money, by taking pics from CarDomain or even just a Google search, then making a fake ad. We've even...

    New from Baahston

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have a pretty nice collection of vehicles there, too! :) I was at the store one time, and the cashier asked me what kind of lettuce I was buying. I replied it was "Baahston lettuce". She couldn't find it on her list! :rlaugh:

    Install front spoiler.... better MPGs?

Don't forget also that "winter" fuel and "summer" fuel are different mixtures, and your fuel mileage WILL be better on "summer" gas. ;) That said, improved aerodynamics will help with mpg. :)

Very nice! :nice: how did you do the carbon-fiber, or is that a new piece?

How can you keep rubber from the track off the exhaust tips?

What if you wrap the tips with a layer or two of tinfoil, then tape it on with alum. tape? (No tape touching the bare metal.)

JUST HAD 373 GEARS INSTALLED IN MY 13 MUSTANG 5.0 AUTO HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO HAMMER IT ???

I think you should at least wait until you have clear, straight road ahead of you. ;)
