    Stock Gearing?

All of this brings to mind 1 ?. Are there any automatic coupes built in '04? All I ever see is automatic verts & a salesperson told my wife that all coupes are standards. I call :bs: but want proof.

If you replaced your stock H pipe read this

I don't blame you; being fried hurts & messes up your hair. The metric thing is only cuz the car's American so if a metric fits a standard socket'll fit just a tad better. To test, get a hex bolt that fits decently into your 14mm or any size socket. Find whichever standard socket's near that...

    Catted X-pipe & MILs

Good. I like to hear stories of everything working well w/ the Catted Xs cuz over on Mach1registry there are some people saying either their cars or people they know's cars eventually needed MILs after some 2 or 3 months after installing a Catted X or H-pipe. I think a lot of it depends on...

Exhaust upgrades and passing the sniff test

My advice is 1 of 2 things after doing the exhaust set-up of your choice. 1) Make friends or 2) Have a mechanic who also does Inspections @ his shop do your exhaust. I must mention that doing #1 & 2 @ the same time reveals best results.

Exhaust upgrades and passing the sniff test

There are 4 counties in Texas that currently do the sniffer test. I used to live in Tarrant county so I know. Bexar (San Antonio), Harris (Houston), Tarrant (Fort Worth), & Dallas (self-explanatory). :bang:

If you replaced your stock H pipe read this

1st) Don't use a 14mm socket on anything. You shouldn't be using metric on an American car. Common mistake that barely/rarely causes any problems & Defleshed right, but listen. now i'm scared to take the damn thing off. i just jacked the car up in the garage, and went down there with my...

Before buying a new Ford consider this...

Warranty does suck anyway & I think every good Mustang owner should know how to do most of their own work & have a good mechanic for those times when they either don't know how to fix/mod something or don't want to fix/mod something.

    Long Tube Header Question

I have BBK Long Tubes w/ BBK Shorty Catted X-pipe coming in no late than Friday to be installed Saturday. So I hope I have no issues.

    Exhaust Problems

Either that or a Catted X will create more Delta Pressure (commonly referred to as Back Pressure), which should make sound quality better. But who's to say? Sound's all opinion anyway.

    Cost to reseal valves?

I think I'd check before you pay to get them re-sealed to see that they're already not sealed properly in the 1st place. You'd be the one doing the sealing anyway after you drive it when you get your car back so if it was done correctly the 1st time you're still cool.

Before buying a new Ford consider this...

Ford always did my warranty work (about $2000 worth of parts & labor), even w/ many mods on my car. It wasn't until they couldn't get rid of the sound coming out of the rear-end after an accident that they had an employee steal a wheel off my car & then not do anything about it so as to make me...

    Catted X-pipe & MILs

I guess I'll find out what happens since I'll be having them installed Saturday. BBK Long Tube Headers w/ a BBK catted X-pipe run into my stock catback w/ weld-in Flowmaster 40-Series Mufflers. I think the sound will kill.

    Catted X-pipe & MILs

Catted X-pipe & MILs!? Do I still need to run MIL Eliminators if I'm running a Catted X-pipe? Will my check engine light every turn on?

    Lowered car, making clunking noise

Yall need Spring Isolators. You probably pulled the stock ones off when changing the springs & didn't put new ones on as most kits don't come w/ them. Or you left the stockers on & they are now worn out. It'd take about 35000-50000 miles for the stock Spring Isolators to wear.

    00 GT vs Mach 1

A full intake would help, like say a C&L Upper Intake Plenum & Accufab 75mm Throttle Body. You could get that for under $500 as a combo @ crmotorsports.com. Mine was like $394 & they're still running the special.

    00 GT vs Mach 1

I had a 2000 GT that I sold to my buddy. We've raced a few times & @ no matter what speed we stop I always win & his mods are as follows: 2" Eibach Sportlines, 4.10s, 17X9 Polished Aluminum 2003+ Cobra Replicas w/ 245s front & 285s rear, Accufab 75mm Throttle Body, ASP Underdrive Pulleys, C&L...
