    responded to your pm, but will ad in here - prep is the most important part of painting anything. These parts are plastic, scuff them with a red 3m pad before priming, then prime and paint. They resist the elements like any other painted part.

    Opinions on spacers needed

    A set of 1" hubcentric spacers is the way to go and as noted in the previous post a very good option for allowing larger tires or simply gaining asthetic appearance without side affects. I've seen plenty of guys run hubcentrics without issue for years on many makes and models here locally.

    I have an 07 as well and that auxillary harness you mention doesn't carry power in my car. It routes to the passenger side of the car and connects to nothing with a male 3 prong plug wrapped up in loom just prior to the large firewall grommet. Wonder what makes the variation.
