Off the bottom of the TAD valve, it was a short rubber hose that connected to a check valve (prevents exhaust gas from coming back up to the TAD), then an all metal tube from there to the exhaust. If I remember correctly, the check valve was screwed onto the end of the metal tube.

It's usually welded tube-to-tube. I suppose you could use a piece of heavy hose, like a heater hose, just make sure it's heavy enough that it won't melt from the hot exhaust pipes. I got nothing for ya there. Plenty of guys in here have done interior dyes... I'm sure someone will pop in for ya.

Hey JC, I grabbed a few pics really quick off Summit. The pipe from the TAB/TAD valves that goes back to the exhaust is a single tube. Your cat-less system might even still have the hookup tube installed... my Pypes off-road system doesn't have one. Any exhaust shop should be able to hook up the...

Thanks, No 11. Fuel pump has been in there for quite a few years, but I have an adjustable regulator and it's set at 40 with vac removed and plugged. I would think a weak pump would make it run bad all the time and not be causing a hard miss. Know how a V8 will run all-around rough when a...

I dont know about your state and what the requirements are when buying a car. In Maryland, title transfer (sale) requires an inspection. Some places will fail you for not having complete emissions equipment. In Maryland, a car over 20 yrs old can get Historic tags and is then exempt from...

Without TAB & TAD, your exhaust can sometimes smell somewhat rich. This goes hand-in-hand with not having cats. The car may be running fine, it's just that the exhaust is not being cleaned up as much. When deleting TAB & TAD, you can get rid of the smog pump. Can be as simple as a smaller belt...

Sorry Noobz, just now saw this. I've already replaced the injectors since this started, with no help. Just ordered a new computer... if that doesn't fix it, I'll look into replacing the injector harnesses. Although I looked em over pretty good during the rebuild. I'm wondering about the ground...

Update: Replaced the TFI and PIP, no help. Replaced fuel filter, no help. Changed timing from 10 to 12 to 14 and back to 10, no help. Just ordered a new computer, 78-5611 (Cardone rebuild, A/T, non-Calif, Mass Air) from O'Reilly. Yeah, I know I'm tossing parts at it, but with no codes outside...

The nipple on the rear of the EGR spacer is one of the cooling tubes we talked about. There should be a hose on it, just like the front one, about 6 or 8 inches long with a single 90* bend that goes to the lower intake manifold, rear passenger side corner. There should be a brass fitting screwed...

The vac line off the canister should have the purge solenoid in it. It runs on top of the engine, around the dizzy and connects to a vac source under the upper intake. It does not connect to any port on the lower intake. I dont remember any vac port on the lower intake. Hmmm... there is a...

The forward unit is the Thermactor Air Bypass Valve. The rear one is the Thermactor Air Diverter Valve. Also known as TAB and TAD. These are controlled by vac switches mounted on the rear of the passenger side shock tower. This schematic should help you a great deal, although your 92 might be...
